On this the second night of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo live from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, the results are in. The top three finishers from each event are listed below, but the complete round results can be found by clicking the respective event.
The evening opened with Daryle Singletary and the anthem was performed by Clare Dunn.
For the first event, Bareback Riding, the top rider of the night was Steven Peebles who rode ‘Right Spur’ for a score of 85.00 to take home a check for $19,002.40. There was a three-way tie for second place going to Justin McDaniel (‘Sourdough’), Steven Dent (‘Hollywood Hills’), and Jake Vold (‘Empty Pockets’), who each scored an 83.00 which paid them $11,442.30 a piece.
In the Steer Wrestling event, Kyle Irwin and Luke Branquinho tied for first place with a time of 3.60 each, earning both riders checks for $17,010.21. Round 1 winner Nick Guy placed third after turning in a time of 3.70, to take home a check for $11,340.14.
Team Roping winners were Turtle Powell & Dakota Kirchenschlager for the second straight night with a time of 3.80 to earn them each another check for $19,002.40. Coleman Proctor & Jake Long placed second after their time of 4.50, good enough for checks of $15,018.03 each. Third place went to Brandon Beers & Jim Ross Cooper after posting a time of 4.60 which awarded them checks for $11,340.14.
Jacobs Crawley scored 82.50 on ‘Spade’ in the Saddle Bronc event to take the top spot and go-round check for $19,002.40. Round 1 winner Cort Scheer placed second in Round 2 with a score of 82.00 riding ‘Mike & Ike’ to take home a check for $15,018.03. Third place went to Dustin Flundra with his score of 81.00 on ‘Special Time’ which earned him a $11,340.14 check.
With a time of 7.70, Cade Swor took first place in Tie-Down Roping and the check for $19,002.40. Trevor Brazile posted a time of 7.90 which earned him a second place finish for the second straight night and put another check in his pockets for $15,018.03. Third place went to Clint Cooper after his time of 8.00, earning him $11,340.14.
In the Barrel Racing event, Lisa Lockhart posted a time of 14.29 to take the round and a check for $19,002.40. With a time of 14.31, Kassidy Dennison placed second and went home with the check for $15,018.03. Third place and a check for $11,340.14 went to Sherry Cervi who posted a time of 14.35, which was the same time she turned in for Round 1 where she came in sixth place.
With his incredible ride on ‘Seeing Red’, Aaron Pass is seeing green in the Bull Riding after scoring 89.50 to take home the top check of $19,002.40. Cody Teel placed second with a score of 85.00 on ‘Make Ya Famous’ for $15,018.03. Third place went to Sage Steele Kimzey after scoring 80.50 with his ride on ‘Gin and Juice’ for a check of $11,340.14. Joe Frost, who won Round 1, came in fourth with a 74.00 on ‘Shroom Bruizer’ to take $7,968.75.
