The confetti flows up into the air *snap* *crackle* *pop* starry stripes of colors blaze through the sky behind which stars shine, reminding us there is always cause for celebration and sparkle… on this spinning rock in outer space where no day is guaranteed and every one is a miracle.
Every new day is a chance to grow beyond what / who we were the day before in good ways, it’s a chance to honor ourselves for the accomplishments we’ve made… to anchor in kindness, compassion, empathy and grace..
Life… learning to loose gracefully? I was thinking recently that what defines us often are not the “good” times but the challenging ones, and not what actually happens to us, but how we handle it. For me, through this crazy adventure that we call life (my mom always says “Life is a grand adventure, and you are an adventurer” truth & thank you mom for teaching me that as well as encouraging my soul to be who it truly is, an explorer) I have through this life learned the art of non-attachment… I’ve learned that things come and go, I’ve learned that you can fight against the tide but it doesn’t really do any good… I’ve learned to let go, to allow, to float… and then I of course also know that I have the power within me of free will to walk on out of the flow from time to time and to choose consciously a new river that suits me more.
Life… destiny and freewill intertwined together, intermingling.. doors consistently being opened, us presented with opportunities to walk through them, or not? That choice is ours. Dr. Michael Newton states in one of his books that the difference between how fast a soul progresses lives in those free will moments, which comes down to character… we have the choice to get the lessons and amply them, or not? We have a choice and the power to consciously shape our lives to choose healthy decisions that make us feel good… not because anything is less than or greater… we have the ability to be kind and to continue to strip back all the crap stories that have nothing to actually do with who we are here as individuals or collectively as a whole.
And that to me, is a beautiful thing. It’s not about condemnation “we didn’t do this, so we suck” etc… it’s about empowerment… through realizing we are all learning growing and creating through our decisions we here now embrace and empower a brighter future. So I am inspired, love, as I walk or should I say dance into 2015.
I’ve seen things come, I’ve seen them go… I’ve become less attached and FAR more grateful for every single beautiful moment of joy and all who make that possible swoon… so here I am, loving all of you, and saying thank you!
Here I am wishing you a happy 2015, blessing you for your continued support as readers and also as people in this world.
Happy New Years, all my love.
