Which is better to consider for a great start to 2015? A traditional New Year’s Resolution? Or a Spiritual Declaration based on God’s word over your life? Many are firming up plans for tomorrow to ring in the New Year while others are planning on goal setting before the New Year rings in. I am all for tradition in the mainstream, however if I want something to really happen in the 2015 year I will declare what God says over my life over what I say over my life. I believe that God knows more about us since He sees the beginning from the end and therefore trust in what scripture says about me. Did you know that Jesus prayed for you over 2000 years ago and continues to intercede for you? He has declared victory over your life and blessing He came to bless you abundantly. Jesus came to give you and I life and give it more abundantly! John 10:10 says “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” God is amazing!
Resolutions are typically broken and discarded early into the New Year. I can remember making a yearly list along with friends and keeping them a few weeks into the calendar year and then abandoning them altogether. There was no resolution police to make me keep my word and as time went on learned that making a list of what to declare over my life had more meaning. The concept of believing and speaking life declaring what God said about me made more sense. I also do not wait until the end of the year but instead declare year round what generous and loving kindness that God says about me. I am a believer and not a doubter; I am the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, blessed coming in and blessed going out of wherever I walk! If sickness has struck I declare better health according to scripture. I believe that God’s word is “life to me and health to all my flesh” like scripture says in Proverbs 4:22 and I speak it over my life and the lives of loved ones. If finances are not where I want them to be, I declare abundant finance and guess what? God delivers time after time without a doubt!
Whichever route you take be sure to know that God is on your side! God does not want you to fail or feel alone and wants you to know that He loves you! If you write a list of New Year Resolutions and then break them that is perfectly ok. If you keep them you get a big applause as that is not an easy task! You win either way because you can remember that Declaring God’s blessing over your life can be done anytime of the year. He is ready when you are and gives us free will to choose. God bless you in the 2015 year with abundant health, prosperity in finance, incredible relationships, and unlimited favor! Amen!
Happy New Year my faithful readers and as always stay blessed and in His favor!
