Chardonnay from Good Mews Animal Foundation in metro Atlanta has a special message that she posted on the Good Mews Facebook page earlier today:
Hello everyone! It’s your friend, Chardonnay! So this is the last weekend to take advantage of the Valentine’s special! I know, Valentine’s Day has passed, but when you walk into the shelter, you can feel the love surrounding us all, so we are going to celebrate all month long! If you adopt two kitties, the fee is $114 for both! Now I love that!
So as you probably know, I am pretty shy. I get really scared in new situations and I shrink back when people I don’t know try to pet me. But I think once I am in a home for awhile and someone is willing to be patient with me and work with me, I will come around. I had a dental last week so I had to stay in a cage for a few days to recuperate and guess what? I let people pet me! One person was petting me and I rolled on my back and let her scratch my belly. I licked her hand and gave her a kiss. She even held me for a few seconds. See . . . I can be really loving if given the chance.
Because I get scared easily, Good Mews thinks it would be best if I was adopted with another Good Mews cat. I have a few friends, so if you are interested in adopting me, I can tell you who my friends are! So just come on by this weekend to meet me and the other kitties. We would all love a forever home!
Chardonnay is a four year old female domestic short hair black kitty and is available for adoption. Click here if you are interested in adopting Chardonnay or another cat from Good Mews.

About Good Mews Animal Foundation
Good Mews is a cage-free, no-kill cat shelter offering an alternative to traditional animal shelters in the Metro Atlanta area. They provide a safe haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned cats until they can be placed in permanent, loving homes. Since 1988, Good Mews has placed over 7,000 cats in forever homes. The shelter receives no government support and relies solely on donations of time, services, goods and money from its many supporters and local businesses. Good Mews is home to approximately 100 residents on any given day – most of whom reside at the Shelter in Marietta, with some cats residing in foster homes.
