Palmer from Good Mews Animal Foundation in metro Atlanta has a special message that she posted on the Good Mews Facebook page earlier today:
Hi – I’m Palmer. Yes, that is a toy mouse on my head. Why is that on my head? I have no idea. My foster mom likes to put things on my head and laugh. I think it is weird, but I will flatter her and let her have her fun.
So Good Mews rescued me from a situation where a ton of cats lived. I did not like it there and I was so happy when they took us away. I got to go to a foster home and it sure was a nice change of scenery!
I guess the most important thing going on this weekend is that I will be at the shelter on Saturday, accepting applications for a new home. So if you are interested in a fun-loving cat that loves people and will follow you around, wanting to help out with whatever you are doing, then put that on the application. You will probably be a shoo-in. I would really love to be a single cat, because I like to have all of the attention to myself.
It is Adopt a Senior Pet month, so if you would like a laid-back older cat, I hear there are some great ones at the shelter. And since this is their month, their fee is waived!
Our Holiday Décor Market has been extended! Since people love to shop there, they extended it till Dec. 7th! They will also accept donations till Nov. 30th. I hear they have some great stuff. My foster mom bought some nice Christmas tree decorations. So I bet you will find some good ones too!
So come on by the shelter this weekend to meet me. I will only be there on Saturday so you may want to try to get there early, like at 10am. But Good Mews does have a lot of great cats and kittens so if you can’t make it on Saturday, we are open on Sunday from 1-4!

About Good Mews Animal Foundation
Good Mews is a cage-free, no-kill cat shelter offering an alternative to traditional animal shelters in the Metro Atlanta area. They provide a safe haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned cats until they can be placed in permanent, loving homes. Since 1988, Good Mews has placed over 7,000 cats in forever homes. The shelter receives no government support and relies solely on donations of time, services, goods and money from its many supporters and local businesses. Good Mews is home to approximately 100 residents on any given day – most of whom reside at the Shelter in Marietta, with some cats residing in foster homes.
