Scheduling for summer exercise and education programs for smaller children in the metro Denver area is beginning to take shape with registration applications readily accepted for this summer of 2015, two of my favorites making early preparations.
A1 Boxing and Fitness (700 S. Buckley Road, 303-696-2694) in Aurora, is having a ‘Summer Boxing for Kids’ program where for $59 youngsters aged 6-10 go from 6:15-7:15 AM and ages 11 & up train from 7:15-8:30AM Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The A1 motto: ‘The early bird catches the worm’ applies to you parents setting the good example for your kids.
Just in case the question comes up, in no way does this ‘early bird special’ commit any unwilling to rise that early grandparent, who may prefer to ‘sleep in’ and not provide transportation that early in the morning.
Music fun comes in the form of Reese & The Monkeys, who is accepting applications for their Kids Music Summer Camp that runs August 3-7 from 9AM to noon for boys and girls ages 4-10.
The camp is held at the Vocal Intensive Studios, 6574 S. Broadway in Littleton, where Teressa Juliet (Reese The Monkeys) will be teaching songs from her new children’s album with fun and creative activities scheduled each day with camp participants then given the opportunity to participate in a special Summer Camp Show.
To register for the summer camp, go to www.ReeseAndTheMonkeys.net

Broadening the minds of our younger children should include supporting the Arts as well as boxing, A1 Boxing in Aurora and Reese & The Monkeys in Littleton providing that fine example.
Congratulations are in order to light heavyweight (81kg) Steven Nelson, former WCAP (World Class Athlete Program) member and super heavyweight (91+kg) Cam F. Awesome both members of the WSB (World Series of Boxing) USA KNOCKOUTS for their season ending victories last night.
The wins last night assured both Nelson and Awesome of 3rd place finishes in the WSB season standings, that qualifying them for participation in the 2015 Pan American Games.
Cam F. Awesome gets no rest as he begins immediate preparation to become the first ever 4-Time National Golden Gloves Champion in his weight class at the 2015 National Golden Gloves Championships held May 11-16, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
‘The Road To Rio’ (de Janeiro, Brazil), site of the 2016 Olympic Games, is beginning to take form, the countdown set to begin.
