Alexander BOK took to the streets of New York to do what he does best. To be a prankster, except this time, his prank wasn’t understood by the New York police. According to Gossip Cop, Dec. 30, 2014, it was so misunderstood that the police threw him to the ground.
Alexander decided it would be fun to participate in the “dance dare” challenge issued by Ellen DeGeneres on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show”.
Ellen said, “I challenge the viewers to sneak up behind perfect strangers. They have to dance behind them without them knowing it.”
Alexander BOK’s favorite dance it PSY’s “Gangnam Style.” He took Ellen’s challenge and sneaked up behind people to dance “Gangnam Style” in and around Grand Central Terminal. His video is on YouTube.
Alexander chooses to dance behind a couple traffic cops early in the video, but nothing happened. It wasn’t until the end of his video, he danced behind two policemen standing in front of a police van. However, he must have missed the other two policemen sitting in the van just behind them and another one or two police officers on the other side of the van. Alexander danced for several seconds until law enforcement officials exited the van and the other policemen turned around.
“What’s wrong with you?” The one police officer asked. When he tried to explain, “I’m just dancing,” several times, they asked him why he was dancing in the street. They continued to ask him “What’s wrong with you?” as they shove him against their police van.
The video pauses with the posted message, “After explaining what we were doing they kept going, insulting me . . .”
A policeman demanded, “What the f*ck’s wrong with you?”Are you f*cking kidding me? Are you a f***ing a***ole?”
His video pauses again with the message, “After endless attempts realizing they cannot arrest me . . .They threw me on the ground.” The ground happened to be a busy New York street and wet with slushy ice. Alexander rose slowly to his feet and walked, or rather, he limped away. After the police men threw Alexander on the street, At the end the message read that that was his Ellen dare dance challenge and happy holidays. He wrote, “Life is too short, do not take too seriously. Dream big, live big, become legend.”
Before this incident with the police officers, Alexander danced behind many people. If they happened to turn around, Alexander would act normal by bending down to tie his shoe, point to something up above or just continue to walk away. There was one man that he danced behind for a full 20 minutes! The man appeared to be busy looking for something on his cell phone to take any notice of what was happening around him.
Do you agree with what happened to Alexander? Did the police officers handle it in the right way or did they just consider him to be a drunken lunatic? Should the person filming Alexander BOK doing the Ellen DeGeneres dare dance challenge Gangnam Syle” have come forward to help explain or was he right to continue filming the events? Do you think that Alexander BOK should have known better than to dance behind the policemen in the first place? Share your views below in the comments section.
