Five decades ago, America made “one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind,” when Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong became the first humans to step on the moon. Ten others followed over the years in different Apollo missions, each leaving the boot prints on the surface.
But in 1972, lunar missions stopped cold-turkey. A documentary provides a chilling reason why NASA has not been back to Earth’s satellite for decades: it received an “alien” warning to stay away.
Watch above: “The Reason NASA Never Returned to the Moon (Documentary)
According to Universe Today, the last mission to the moon was December 11, 1972 with Apollo 17. A Saturn V rocket took astronauts Eugene (Gene) Cernan and Harrison (Jack) Schmitt into lunar orbit. Like ten others before them, they landed on the moon’s surface. Over three days, they collected samples, took photographs, conducted experiments and left the American flag behind.
Technology back then was crude. The cell phone as we know it wasn’t invented, the personal computer, tablets and other smart devices were not in use. And the hardware from any of those devices could have done the work of the super-computers in place in the ’60s and ’70s. So, why hasn’t NASA or any other nation state like China, Russia and the European Union, gone back to the moon’s surface or even conducted a manned lunar orbit?
The documentary above claims to have a set of facts that outline why America’s space agency has not made going back to the moon a priority. Reportedly, several people who worked in an official capacity with the federal government or Apollo space program say aliens gave officials on Earth a strong warning to stay away from the moon.
Insiders say an “alien moon base” is on the side of the moon that is not visible from Earth. Extraterrestrial life forms convinced space heads that continued travel to the moon and its orbit. Current NASA administrator, Charles Bolden — not one of those who suggest aliens are behind the long break from moon missions — confirmed the agency has no immediate plans to return to the lunar body.
“NASA does not have a human lunar mission in its portfolio and we are not planning for one. I have told every head of agency of every partner agency that if you assume the lead in a human lunar mission, NASA will be a part of that. NASA wants to be a participant.”
