Looks like Andi Dorfman won’t be pulling a Womack. In the aftermath of her breakup with fiance Josh Murray, there is no chance that the former “Bachelorette” star won’t be returning to make out mansion for another go around, according to E! News on Feb. 19. But while Dorman won’t be like ex-“Bachelor” star Brad Womack, who was granted a second chance to find love on the rosy reality show, a few of this season’s stars are in the running for the starring role.
Sources close to the show told the celebrity gossip site that both a virgin and a Playboy model are being considered to headline the next “Bachelorette” season, which begins shooting this spring. The frontrunners for the upcoming season include Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe. Also in the running are Becca Tilley, who revealed that she is a virgin, and Jade Roper, who recently told current “Bachelor” star Chris Soules (and the world) about her racy Playboy past.
While a past season of the ABC franchise touted Sean Lowe as a “virgin” bachelor (the star admitted to having sex when he was younger, but later took a vow of chastity until his wedding day), insiders think signing Becca could be a long shot, as it would seem sleazy to have guys competing to take her virginity. And Jade Roper could prove to be a controversial pick due to her past work as a nude model.
Spoiler king “Reality Steve” Carbone, who is usually the first to break the news of the new “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” stars, has already gone on record as saying which girl he thinks would be the best fit for the role. On his RealitySteve.com blog, Carbone wrote: “It’s definitely between Britt and Kaitlyn at this point… I just think Britt is a better fit.”
In an interview with E! News, show host Chris Harrison said producers have not yet picked the lead for the next season, but he weighed in on the prospect of working with either Britt or Kaitlyn. “They’d be two very different bachelorettes,” he said. “Kaitlyn would be a blast. I would love to do it with her. Self-deprecating, amazingly quick-witted sense of humor, she kind of gets it. I love that kind of show. It would be fun for me selfishly to do it with her.”
As for Britt, Harrison said the 27-year-old waitress would also make for a great show, but in a different way. “I think it would be emotional, heartfelt, there would be a lot of tears, there would be a roller coaster ride,” he said. “And Britt’s obviously drop-dead gorgeous and I think men would be falling all over themselves to have a chance to date her.”
The current season of “The Bachelor” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. “The Bachelorette” will debut in May on ABC.
