The “Gator Boys” on Animal Planet have disappeared. They returned for a new season on a new night, aired a few episodes, mysteriously moved to an 11:00 timeslot, and then disappeared. Judging from online comments on the Gator Boys Facebook page, fans are getting suspicious. This show about an alligator rescue organization operated out of the Florida Everglades Holiday Park has a very loyal fan base, and they want to know where the show has gone.
The last episode or two included a storyline about Paul Bedard’s girlfriend, Caroline Bravo. At least, according to his Paul Bedard Facebook page, she is. She was presented on the show as a new volunteer who was so good at what she was doing that she was immediately promoted from sweeping up alligator feces to going with Paul on catches. It seemed that she was jumping gators on her second or third day on the job! (Long-time fans will remember how long our favorite gator girl Ashley had to wait before she could hardly step outside her office.
It turned out that the young Bravo had been working at Holiday Park as a volunteer for over a year. While most fans know that reality television is not really completely reality, this was more of a stretch than most fans expected, judging from the comments on Facebook. This may or may not have anything to do with the “Gator Boys” hiatus. Fans are very impatient for them to come back. Many are speculating that they have been cancelled. The shows are still running in reruns a few days a week at 4 p.m.
