Celebrating Independent Horror, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, the Hole in the Head film Fesival runs from December 5th to December 15th at the New People Cinema in San Francisco.
Returning for its 11th year, SF IndieFest presents Another Hole In The Head Annual Horror Film Festival. The festival will include more than 20 feature films, 12 short programs that consist of 60 short films (16 of which are by local filmmakers), and three new live events- a live rock and roll zombie show, a live reading of scary stories, and a silent film accompanied by a live DJ. Also check out the free ‘SFIndieFest’ app available for iPhone and Android!
This year the festival will kick off on Friday, December 5th at 9:00PM at the New People Cinema in San Francisco with the feature film AFTERIMAGES, a collection of supernatural ghost stories from Singapore. Watch as these ‘ghost stories from hell’ appear in the ashes after a group of film students burn paper effigy cameras as offerings to the dead.
On Monday, December 15th at 7:00PM, the festival will be concluding with the incredibly suspenseful indie slasher film JENNIFER HELP US. Shot entirely on an iPhone 4S, this film follows a vengeful high school senior who kidnaps a fellow student and soon encounters dark secrets about the town’s most haunted house.
Another Hole in the Head will present four horror classics to be shown in glorious 35mm — special viewings of James Cameron’s 1986 classic ALIENS, the 1982 Steven Spielberg-produced POLTERGEIST, the underground favorite THE ASTROLOGER by Craig Denney, and the 1922 silent horror film NOSFERATO.
