The Auburn vs. Kentucky 2015 live stream and TV basketball game highlights the nighttime NCAA schedule in a day of action featuring ranked teams. The Wildcats draw attention in particular as they attempt to continue to extend their undefeated record which currently sits at 26-0. Will they get win number 27 against the Auburn Tigers, or will this lowly SEC foe pull off a major upset? The college basketball live streaming and televised game arrives via ESPN on Saturday night.
The CBS Sports pre-game report on Feb. 20 indicates that Auburn’s record is deceptive on the surface as this team has pulled off several upsets. These include LSU on the road earlier in the month and then Georgia last Saturday. However, a win in Rupp Arena on Saturday would be the biggest surprise of this college basketball season for Bruce Pearl’s Tigers squad, as well as the rest of the sports world. Auburn will need to put up some impressive stats, in particular from KT Harrell and Cinmeon Bowers.
Bowers currently leads the SEC in rebounding pulling in more than 10 boards a game. He also is among the 25 best players in the nation in both the offensive and defensive rebounding rates. Meanwhile, Harrell leads the Tigers with 17.9 points per game, but he’ll likely need to have a career high scoring effort to help hand the Wildcats their first loss of this season. Auburn will also need to put the pressure on Calipari’s team to force turnovers for easy buckets, if they want to hang with their undefeated opponents for a possible win.
The story for Kentucky seems simple thanks to their talent, although as the season wears on, some question if these guys are tiring and could be susceptible to an unexpected loss out of nowhere. They dominated Tennessee on the road in their game back on Feb. 17, winning it 66-48 in Knoxville thanks to 18 points and 7 rebounds from Devin Booker. It was only a four-point lead for the Wildcats at the half, but they outscored the Vols by 14 in the second half to grab their 26th straight win of the season.
Now the Cats get a home matchup against the Volunteers who are 6-7 in SEC play, for a chance to up their tournament resume. Kentucky is a heavy favorite to win on Saturday with a hefty line of 26 points in their favor. The Wildcats also continue to lead as the odds on favorite to win the 2015 National Championship with a moneyline of -125 to win it all. Wisconsin, Virginia, Duke and Gonzaga round out the top five teams with the best odds to win the title for this season.
Saturday’s matchup featuring Auburn vs. Kentucky gets started at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. ESPN will provide the live telecast for cable and satellite viewers around the nation. In addition, the WatchESPN broadband sports network has full live streaming online viewing available for customers of participating providers.
