The greatest team of superheroes is back and ready for action. As in the first edition the storyline is deep with action and great special effects that lead are heroes into an impossible fight.
Everyone returns Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and together they are on the verge of a big war. Loki’s staff is still missing and the ‘Avengers’ are in search of it to prevent its magic from getting into the wrong hands. While on the mission the team runs into a set of twins named, Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), who show our heroes that they have special abilities of their own. These two fighters are helping prevent the ‘Avengers’ from getting the staff in hopes of protecting hydra.
When the team finally retrieves the staff, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner decide to see if they can create a superior artificial intelligence. In return the essences of the staff, creates’ Ultron (James Spader) a being that can inhabit any type of robot. Ultron makes his demands quickly known to the ‘Avengers’ and begins his plan to destroy all of humanity. Showing his ultimate goal to the world and creating an invincible being named Vision (Paul Bettany) which together they will destroy the universe.
Director Joss Whedon brings this thrilling tale to life with outstanding action and special effects, to help make this brilliant storyline seem realistic. He also finds a way to keep each person involved throughout each battle scene, showing their impressive abilities against their enemies. Along with some amazing special effects that bring the superhero characters to life, he adds a new villain that evolves these heroes into something special. With everything Whedon does he finds a way to give out a message that teamwork is important to those who strive to be successful.
This wonderful action filled film will definitely entertain. It delivers on all it promises and even goes a little further. Like most series driven movies the middle episodes tend to leave most disappointed, but this one definitely gives you what you want.
Final Grade: I give this an A+ for its spectacular action sequences, excellent special effects, and fantastic storyline.
