SANTA MONICA, CA – With the news of its upcoming digital service launch, yesterday Beachbody CEO Carl Diakeler addressed “Beachbody On Demand” with their coaches and customers.
“I think this is the biggest news in the last 16 years. You can look at the history of Beachbody, the launch of Shakeology was big, before that…just the launch of the network itself. Obviously, P90X was a big revolutionary idea of its time.”
Daikeler continued to talk about the evolution of Beachbody and how technology plays a part in the company’s mission.
“In the first quarter of this year” Diakeler states, “Starting in late January, we will start rolling out and testing, Beachbody’s digital initiative.”
Beachbody On Demand, the companys digital initiative, consist of streaming Beachbody workout programs like P90X, 21 Day Fix, Body Beast and INSANITY to customers who enroll in the Club Membership. Members will be able to work out anyplace, anywhere while watching programs through their laptop, phones, tablets or other mobile devices. They will have access to a “digital catalog” that will be part of their club membership.
Beachbody Coaches have been asking for streaming videos for many years. Diakeler was quick to address the issue stating that his company wanted to make sure that they “do it right,” regarding the manner they use the digital platform to help people achieve their goals.

Beachbody On Demand will be a rollout process. In the beginning phases, Beachbody will put some of the programs and content in the digital catalog while they determine what works for their coaches and customers. He states the platform will be based on the four pillars of success, “…nutrition, fitness, support and rewards.” The goal is to make sure the services provides a results oriented outcome.
“Nobody had done what we are trying to do.” Diakeler said, “There are other digital fitness resources out there, but nobody has tried to incorporate all four pillars of success.” He continued saying that this service will include “tracking…real motivation with real people, not automation, but real people engaging.”
In the initial stages, Beachbody will upload the entire P90X catalog (to include P90X2 and P90X3) with Tony Horton as the front man. Other program series include INSANITY, Les Mills Pump, Combat and more. Diakeler says they will not be changing the price of the club membership.
Test groups will start this month and will go live sometime this spring.
