My guest comes from the captivating and dark recesses of New Orleans, Louisiana. Meet Sasha Klanott, born and raised in Alaska, Sasha moved to New Orleans to pursue her interests in the paranormal. Sasha has become well-known in the paranormal and was featured in the Paranormal Role Model’s 2014 “Women of the Paranormal” calendar.
The following interview was conducted in a conversation with Sasha regarding her life inside and outside of her love for the paranormal.
Sasha is a psychic, radio show host, founder of Paranormal Community Against Bullying, founder and owner of Willow’s Keep, and plus size model & actress and talent with Leesa Robinson Agency. I had the delight to sit down with Sash and ask her about her current goals and aspirations as well as what she has up her sleeve for the future.
Alicia Gardner: So Sasha, where should we start? Tell me about your psychic career.
Sasha Klanott: Being psychic is a huge part of me and what I do for my life. I give readings to people and plan to further my abilities, grow and continue to help people in the way I was meant to. I work with my mentor Chris George and without him I would not have grown as far as I have today. I am truly grateful I found a mentor that pushes me and keeps me on my toes. She chuckled
AG: So what exactly are your talents as a psychic?
SK: I am a Clairvoyant/Medium with other gifts that I am still tapping into as I grow. I have had the world opened to me and I see it in a new way and I continue to grow as I embrace my gift. I have so much appreciation for myself and other I did not have before as well as the ability to do so many things that the mind is capable of.
AG: Can you tell me about your radio shows? You have two, correct?
SK: Yes, I have one paranormal related show and one non-paranormal show. My paranormal show, Paranormal Temptation will be starting back up in February where my goal is to educate and address controversial topics or topics not commonly covered in the field.
AG: What is your goal for Paranormal Temptations?
SK: I want to hit topics from a different perspective and with more facts. I will piss people off but I hope to so that we can address these issues. I admit, I may not be perfect and I will be wrong on things but if we don’t expend in content and opinions and outlooks we cannot grow in the field.
AG: Great, so what can you tell me about your other radio show?
SK: Unfortunately, I can’t say anything right now. I will be announcing everything as soon as all the final details are worked out.
AG: Ok, fair enough, can you tell me about Paranormal Community Against Bullying?
SK: I started the project after I had been bullied.
AG: I am sorry to hear that. Can you tell me what pushed you over the edge to create and push your group?
SK: It was because I noticed people in a popular unity group, on Facebook, had been abusing administrator rules and pushing people with opposite opinions away. I also saw things that were unethical with money as well as other activities that were unethical. I started pushing the founder for questions about the unethical activity going on and why was I allowed to be bullied and what could we do to stop it. Nothing was told to me and the major issues were ignored. Ultimately the founder banned me for standing up to him the subject, as well as other issues the other administrators felt passionate about. At that point I know I had to really push PCAB.
AG: So that started you to push the page. When did you create the page and why?
SK: I started it a bit earlier when I noticed bullying progressed in the paranormal field. I was putting a plan together slowly, but when this happened I went full force so that I could do my part to stop bullying as I knew so many people in the field were being harassed and bullied in so many ways.
AG: So what is your plan? What is the next step of PCAB?
SK: I hope to speak out, publically, about it in school, as the program grows.
AG: Is there anything you want to add about PCAB?
SK: PCAB is not about handing out to tissue or about paranormal unity it is about reminding people that verbal insults, stalking, tarnishing reputations, and going out of your way to hurt other investigators is not only bullying and wrong, but not the focus of what this field should be. We all need to remember that we are all different with our goals and beliefs and what we all feel is right and wrong in the field but attacking a specific group or a person because you don’t like them or what they do is wrong.
AG: Can you tell me about Fairy Willow Keep? I have seen your work and it is beautiful.
SK: Thank you. I plan to make my own jewelry & craft store from products I have beaded and crafted. I do crafts and bead-work as therapy and it turned into something I enjoy immensely. Beading and crafts seems to be a family trait but beading is something me and my mother enjoy doing and have talent for. I learned the basics from her and saw beautiful things she created and later I started doing it. Being on disability I found a way to help earn a little money while helping myself doing something I love and helps me deal with stress.
AG: Wow that is wonderful and sounds fun. Now, I know you are also a model and actress as well. Can you tell me about those?
SK: I am a plus size model & actress and talent with Leesa Robinson Agency. I hope to peruse a TV career whether it is paranormal or not. Who knows! All I know is that I refuse to let idea of fame override my need to educate and my personal ethics. Life is too short to not do something because people before you ruined it if you want to do something do it your way and with ethics. My agent is amazing! She is supportive of me as a model and actress but she also embraces the paranormal and eccentric side of me. I truly am bless to be able to work with such an amazing woman with so much talent and drive in the industry and as a former model and from a family of models, she definitely knows what it takes.
AG: Wow Sasha, you certainly do have a lot going on in your life. Is there anything else you enjoy doing?
SK: As if my list isn’t long enough I am also training to be on a roller derby team. It fun getting to know the girls from other teams and meeting people from different lifestyles. It is such a sport and takes a lot of talent and stamina. I also love that these teams also do fundraising and build each other up. I am so excited to be working with amazing women on different teams.
AG: Well, great! Thank you for participating in our celebrity interview and we wish you all the best of luck.
SK: Thank you!
