West branch, Mich– With numerous big foot sightings in and around the area of West Branch Michigan its no wonder that West Branch has created its own Big foot festival. The West Branch Big foot days festival. This year the Festival with feature Dr. Igor Burtsev. A man who has become very dedicated to the research of Hominology and Hominoids.
Dr. Igor Burtsev PhD(HIST), was born in 1940. He is a professional orientalist and publisher, member of the Russian Geographic Society, member of Moscow Society of the Nature Explorers, vice-president of World Encyclopedia of Travelers.
His professional activities have given him long business trips to Yemen (1972-74), Mongolia (1976), Afghanistan (1986-88).
Dr. Burtsev has taken part in hominoids’ researches since 1965. A member and a leader of a lot of search expeditions and researches: starting with North Caucasus (Kabardino-Balkaria, 1965), after in Azerbaijan (Talysh, 1970-75), in Abkhazia (1971, 1975, 1978, 2004, 2008), in Mongolia (1976), in Tajikistan (Pamir-Alai, 1979-83), in Murmansk Region (Lov-Ozero, 1990), in Leningrad (1989, 2009), Kirov regions (2002, 2003, 2005, 2007), Novgorod, Tver, Tula and Krasnodar regions (2009), in Kemerovo Region (2009-2013), in Chelyabinsk Regions (1989, 2014), in Kazakhstan (2014).
Since 1971 sev He has spent several years arranging and taking part in PG film study. In the Autumn of 2004 he spent 5 weeks in TN, on the property of Janice Carted, studying her story of big foot encounters.
In the Summer of 2006 Dr. Burtsev visited NY University while cooperating in study of Zana’s descendants’ bones.
From the Spring of 2011 till Summer of 2012 Dr. Burtsev had several expeditions to BC, Canada, and 11 states of the USA. Was a speaker at the Conferences in BC, Canada, and Ohio, USA. Spent several months on the property of Robin Haynes observing her in the study of bigfoots that visited that location.
Dr. Burtsev headed the preparation of the International Conference on Hominology held in Moscow and Siberian Kuzbass in October, 2011. He has arranged and taken part in TV expeditions of Japaneses (2011, 2014), Italians (2012), Britains (twice in 2013) in Russian Regions and Kazakhstan.
For the last few years he has cooperates with American and British geneticists in researches of DNA of hominoids.
The author and co-author of many articles in scientific and popular magazines and newspapers, including Current Anthropology, he took part in a lot of TV programs in Russia and abroad. Author of the book: New Turn in the Russian Snowman Research, 2011.
He is now preparing to the publish the book: Approaching Bigfoot: Siberian Kuzbass and Beyond…
As a publisher issued the books on the subject by Dmitri Bayanov: In the Footsteps of the Russian Snowmen; America’s Bigfoot: Fact, not Fiction. U.S. Evidence Verified in Russia; Bigfoot Research: Russian Vision.

This two day event will feature a Friday book signing with Dr. Igor Burtsev and on Saturday letcures and discussions on all thing big foot.
