Monday morning, Walmart and Amazon sent emails to customers about current and Black Friday deals; Amazon’s Black Friday sale has already started and hundreds of items are on sale now. Walmart has a Veterans Day sale and a holiday sale going on now that includes toys, electronics, video games, home appliances, gifts and clothing. The official Walmart Black Friday 2014 page still states come back later for specific sale items, but they have been slowly releasing a few items here and there by email on an almost daily basis.
Current Amazon Black Friday deals include tablets, DVDs, clothing, and books. Because they are not a brick and mortar store and only online, Amazon has started their Black Friday sale now; but many people are still expected large discounts on Black Friday itself.
Saturday, Walmart, Meijer and Costco sent out emails to customers about their electronic deals for Black Friday, and the deals look good. The full ads for Black Friday have yet to be released, but the stores like to give teasers about what will be on sale. The best deals so far on electronics seem to be on tablets, laptops and HDTVs. Friday, Walmart released the Walmart 2014 Toy Book, a 32-page booklet is a toy fest for any child, and discounts galore for parents. Walmart has set up over 20,000 rollbacks in their stores for the holiday sale season, some are on sale now and some are scheduled for Black Friday. Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year, and retailers take advantage of that by starting to promote their holiday sales at the beginning of November. Each year, every retailer will promote their holiday sale items several weeks in advance. Sales continue throughout the month of December, but Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the biggest sale days of the year.
