Saturday morning, Walmart, Meijer and Costco sent out emails to customers about their electronic deals for Black Friday, and so far the deals look great. The full ads for Black Friday have yet to be released, but the stores like to give teasers about what will be on sale. The best deals so far on electronics seem to be on tablets, laptops and HDTVs.
Walmart has stated that they will open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day for their Black Friday sale, but traditionally most of their hot sale items will be on Black Friday morning. They have already stated that they will have 20,000 rollback prices that will start on Thanksgiving night.
Walmart will have 32-inch, Sceptre LED Class HDTV for $168, Sony’s 32-inch LED display HDTV for $200, and a 32-inch LG HDTV for $209 and a 39-inch for $299, according to the Latino Post.
Meijer will sell an Element 48-inch LED HDTV for $179 on Thanksgiving (regularly $469), and Apple’s latest iPad Air 2 (16 GB with Wi-Fi) will be $489. On Black Friday, Meijer will sell Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 Lite for $99, and Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD 7-inch tablet (8 GB) for $109.
Costco has stated that their Black Friday sale will begin on November 21, and they will have a Vizio’s 55-inch LCD HDTV (1080p 120Hz WiFi LED-Backlit) at $200 off. Samsung-Android tablets will also be on sale, a Galaxy Tab 4 10.1-inch (16 GB) will be $100 off, and the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 8-inch (16 GB) will be $70 off. Costco will also sell the Dell Inspiron 15.6 inch screen 7000 Series Haswell Core i7 2GHz Touchscreen laptop for $900.
Friday, Walmart released the Walmart 2014 Toy Book, a 32-page booklet is a toy fest for any child, and discounts galore for parents. Walmart has set up over 20,000 rollbacks in their stores for the holiday sale season, some are on sale now and some are scheduled for Black Friday. Thursday, Best Buy announced that they will hold a pre-Black Friday sale that will begin on Saturday, November 8, 2014 and it includes a deal on the new iPad Air 2 that was released last month; the deal on the iPad Air 2 includes a $50 gift card to Best Buy. Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year, and retailers take advantage of that by starting to promote their holiday sales at the beginning of November. Each year, every retailer will promote their holiday sale items several weeks in advance. Sales continue throughout the month of December, but Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the biggest sale days of the year. Electronics are typically the hottest sale items out there on Black Friday and some deals will get people out of bed at 4 a.m. to get them. Over the last few years, many major retailers have opened on Thanksgiving Day in order to start their Black Friday sale early.
