Britney Spears showed off her sizzling bikini body following her recent weight loss with a low-carb diet and yoga workouts. Spears said exercise keeps her mentally and physically fit.
“Daily exercise is important for me both mentally and physically,” said Britney. “I don’t mind working out. Trainers keep you motivated, but I didn’t have a problem being motivated.”
Spears, a mom of two, said her body has changed after two pregnancies, but a low carb diet coupled with intense cardio exercise and power yoga workouts keep her toned, Celebrity Health & Fitness reported.
“After I had Jayden, it was real easy for me to get back in shape,” said Britney. “But five years later, I started noticing changes in my body. My hips are a little bit wider because I’ve had kids. So it was crucial for me to be continuous with my exercise.”
Spears’ workout routine typically includes cardio dance workouts, swimming laps for 30 minutes, light weightlifting and power yoga sessions, as Examiner has reported. Britney said she does most of her workouts without a fitness trainer.
I like my workouts to be effective in a short amount of time.
I start with 20 minutes of intense cardio — usually running — move on to light free weights, body-weight exercises such as pushups, squats and situps, then finish it off with a stretch.”
Britney previously said sticking to a diet is hard because she loves high-calorie, sugary foods. However, Spears generally follows a low carb diet, and these days has become partial to raw food such as sushi. However, she regularly indulges her sweet tooth by drinking sweet tea and eating fruit.
While Britney indulges her favorite foods, she typically follows a low-carb diet. Low carb diets such as the ketogenic and Atkins diets fuel rapid weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.
Obesity expert Dr. David Ludwig, agrees.“‘Eat less, exercise more’ doesn’t work,” said Ludwig, a physician and nutrition professor at Harvard University.
By reducing carbs and eating more healthy fats, you can accelerate weight loss and enjoy consistent energy throughout the day, said Dr. Ludwig, author of Always Hungry? Conquer Cravings, Retrain Your Fat Cells.
Britney is healthier and happier than ever now, after being placed on suicide watch in 2008. Between 2006 and 2008, Spears suffered several highly publicized emotional breakdowns that required hospitalization for drug abuse, depression and bipolar disorder. Fortunately, all that drama is in the past, and Britney is doing well.
