Bruce Jenner, who’s now happy and relieved after coming out as transgender, has embraced his sex change transition to a woman, and loves wearing dresses, lingerie, bras and getting his makeup and hair done. Bruce is expected to complete his transition to a woman by this summer.
“Around summertime ‘Bruce’ will be no more,” a Jenner insider told People. ‘He will be she.”
The source added: “He’s so excited about everything female. He loves to dress up, he loves wearing high heels, he loves doing his hair.”
Bruce, who has been cross-dressing in secret for decades, is thrilled to finally become the woman he always wanted to be. “He feels like a big weight is off his shoulders,” said the source.
Jenner, who will make a public reveal this summer, recently told Diane Sawyer he has a closet filled with women’s dresses, high heels, and lingerie, and is planning to build a “glam room” at his Malibu, California, home.
Bruce has been hosting “girl parties” at his home in his womanly persona, where he gets dolled up in dresses and wears makeup, nail polish and high heels.
Jenner, who has been taking female hormones for two years, recently got several plastic surgeries to make his face look more feminine.
Bruce’s plastic surgery procedures included breast implants, a third nose job, and work on his jaw and forehead. He also appears to have gotten lip injections and his cheekbones look softer and rounder.
Hasn’t Yet Decided If He’ll Replace Penis With Vagina
Bruce said he hasn’t yet decided if he’ll surgically replace his penis with a vagina, but said that may be “down the line” after he adjusts to his transition.
Jenner will document his sex change transition in an eight-part reality TV series set to air on E! in July. Bruce’s docuseries will receive input from LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) groups and from GLAAD (formerly the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) as part of an effort to educate the public about transgender identity issues.
Bruce first tried transitioning 30 years ago, but stopped after taking female hormones for five years because he was worried how his transition would affect his children, Celebrity Health reported.
Bruce underwent hormone therapy, got electrolysis and plastic surgery in 1985 to make his face look more feminine but stopped after five years of hormone treatments over concerns about his kids. Jenner has six biological children and four stepchildren (the Kardashians).
Jenner’s first wife, Chrystie Crownover Scott, said Bruce was a longtime cross-dresser who had wanted sex change surgery for decades. During the 1980s, Bruce sought out doctors in Denmark to explore having sex change surgery, but abandoned those plans after he started dating Kris Jenner in 1990.
Bruce and Kris married in 1991 and divorced in 2014. Kris Jenner has come under fire recently for claiming ABC News never contacted her before airing Bruce’s interview with Diane Sawyer, but ABC News insisted it had contacted Kris several times for comment, only to be rebuffed.
Jenner’s first wife, Chrystie Crownover, said she couldn’t be happier for Bruce for trying to live the remainder of his life authentically.
“Someone who has lived 65 years of his life as the wrong gender has every right to live the last quarter of his life as his authentic self,” said Crownover. “I support Bruce and hope the world can too. I pray for his happiness for the rest of his journey.”
