When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, and stats for the week of the nomination.
2015 spring season Week 1- April 20th-April 25th
Downeast Limousine male athlete of the week
Eric Hoogterp- Old Town- baseball- earned the win on the mound, allowing just one run on four hits and three walks, and striking out eight in 11-1 win over Orono. Hoogterp also had two hits and three runs scored in the season opening Coyotes victory. Had four hits in doubleheader sweep (3-2/8-1) over Presque Isle. He went 7-10 for the week with four RBI and one walk.
Hoogterp is the fifth student/athlete from Old Town high school to earn athlete of the week honors. He joins Garrett Libby (1-22-12), Ethan Swedberg (10-7-12), Kendra Hayward (6-9-13), and Rachel Martin (4-26-14).
Nate Burns- PCHS- baseball- pitched a four hitter and walked two, while striking out 14 in 3-2 win over Penquis.
Jake Gauvin- Bucksport- baseball- threw a complete game four hitter in 8-0 win over Washington Academy.
Eli Olson- Foxcroft- baseball- had two hits and four RBI, including a three run double in a six run fourth inning in 11-1 win over Dexter.
