Even more Denver restaurants to spoil your Valentine

It’s almost Valentine’s Day, which means it’s time to start making dinner reservations for this special night. Settle into a cozy booth in the Whiskey Library at Argyll Whisky Beer and choose an offering from Chef John Broening’s three- course Valentines’ Day menu – maybe you’ll start with the Warm Asparagus and Wild Mushroom Salad with Quail Egg, or perhaps you’ll opt for the Love Letter: housemade spinach pasta with slow cooked lamb, rosemary and pine nuts. Tuck into the Beet Risotto for a Valentine’s-like red-themed dish, or relish the duo of NY Steak and Braised Short Rib with Potato Croquettes. Dessert? Of course. Make it spicily sweet with the Spicy Chocolate Fondue for two to round out your meal. Always valet parking at this Uptown gem, $59 per person, British cheekiness: free.

The Corner Office will serve a three course prix fixe for $40. Items include Cauliflower Soup, Beet Braised Beef Short Ribs, Colorado Bass “Fricasse,” and French Macaroons for dessert. The regular menu will also be available. For those ordering off of the Valentine’s Day Prix Fixe, a complimentary glass of Martini & Rossi Prosecco is included. Items can also be ordered à la carte.

If you’re looking for the vibrant vibe that is the Uptown restaurant scene you can’t miss Valentine’s Day at Humboldt Farm, Fish & Wine, and see what Executive Chef DJ Nagle is doing so superbly in his restaurant. Humboldt is showcasing a Valentine’s Day special prix fixe menu for the evening that’s a reflection of Chef’s commitment to serving your favorite classics with his modern twist. Think flavors like Scallops and Grits, Gulf Snapper with raisins and harissa, Filet with Kahlua Cabernet demi. In the mood for fish? The open Ravioli with Shrimp and Lobster is as sweet and savory as the sea in the buttery lobster broth, and the Soy & Chile Glazed Scottish Salmon is a tart change from the ordinary. Enjoy it for $55 per person, valet parking for your connivence, and of course excellent wine specials for the evening as well.

February 13th and February 14th, Kachina Southwestern Grill is serving a “Howlen’ for Your Love: Dia de Amor” menu. The menu includes favorites from the dinner menu and new specials for the day of love such as Braised Colorado Lamb Shank ($29), Pan Seared Corvina ($28), Southwestern Crab Cake ($11), and Blue Corn Cheesecake Waffles ($7). Guests who wish to take the elevator home instead of driving can make a night of it by staying upstairs in a room at the Westin Westminster. The special Valentine’s Day room rate starts at $149, and includes a $50 voucher to Kachina.

Celebrate romance with your significant other at Union Station hot spot, Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill. The gastropub is offering a special menu in celebration of Valentine’s Day, including delicious appetizers, entrees and of course champagne! This special menu will be available Friday, February 13th and Saturday, February 14th. Featured menu items include: Grilled Shrimp Risotto, Oven Roasted Lamb Shank, Bone-In Rib Eye Steak, Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake, Bottles of Moet & Chandon Imperial.

Both locations of ViewHouse are offering plenty of specials for the attached and unattached alike. Down south, think along the lines of a four course price-fixe menu featuring Tenderloin Tartare, Grilled Lobster Tail, Pan-Seared Duck Breast and Honey-Glazed Pork Chop and Chipotle Shrimp Scampi. Ballpark diners can expect dinner specials all evening, and both locations are offering late-night parties for singles: Centennial is going old-school with a “Lock & Key” party, while Ballpark attendees will find themselves celebrating the “Anti-Valentine’s Day Party” with specials and celebrations all evening.
