Examiner: Hello Nina, it is a pleasure to have you with us today! Our first question: what inspired you to become a musical artist?
Nina: I was inspired to become a music artist one day when I was about 12 years old… I was listening to Madonna and her voice was like an angel to me. The beats filled my soul and immediately I fell in love with music. At about 15, I began writing poems and at 18 years old I started recording in a professional studio. From that point, I continued to make tracks and started performing all over Florida.
Examiner: Great… how would you describe your sound?
Nina: I would describe my sound as different. I feel I am very unique compared to other female artists. I feel I have an up-North swag with a down-South vibe.
Examiner: Do you have any upcoming projects we can look forward to?
Nina: Yes, I do have an upcoming project that I am working on. It’s a new electro song… Stay tuned.
Examiner: Can’t wait! In the meantime, where can your fans find your music?
Nina: My fans can visit my music website, which has been voted #1 female in Florida on the music charts: www.ReverbNation.com/LaNina.
Examiner: What challenges have you faced as a female musical artist?
Nina: I have faced numerous challenges as a female music artist. For example, in a lot of music nowadays, females are disrespected and degraded. I try to be a positive role model for females by also being a positive influence. I do not like to cuss in my music and I do not like to talk sexual at all. I believe women can still be sexy and have sex appeal, but in a classy manner.
Examiner: That’s very admirable. If you could chose one musical artist to collaborate with, who would it be?
Nina: If I could have a chance to work with one music artist, it would be with Madonna.
Examiner: Great choice! Seems like that worked out pretty well for Drake recently. Just kidding… so, when you’re not making music, what are your favorite pastimes?
Nina: When I’m not enjoying the comfort of writing and recording music, the first thing and only thing that I enjoy is spending time with my son. Taking him to do adventures and travel the world, making wonderful memories… just him and I.
Examiner: Definitely time well spent. Is there anyone you would like to thank for supporting you and your career?
Nina: I would like to give a big shout out to Alex (CEO) from RHK Magazine for supporting me and believing in my talent… and for giving me the wonderful opportunity to be featured in this interview.
Examiner: That’s super sweet! Before we go, can you tell us something interesting about yourself that no one knows?
Nina: Something interesting about myself that nobody knows is I was in the medical field. I have a degree in EKG Morphology of the isoelectric line in science, and I was in law school for about a year. I love to read and I really enjoy learning. I also know five languages, but not fluent: English, Spanish, Sign Language, Egyptian Arabic, and French.
Examiner: Very nice. Any last words?
Nina: Yes, please feel free to contact me for booking by email at BookingLaNina@yahoo.com, and for daily info you can follow me on Twitter and Instagram @iAmLaNina.
Examiner: Thanks again for giving us the extreme honor of interviewing you!
