When Paul left the church at Ephesus the final time and bid his followers farewell, he warned the church that after his departure grievous wolves would enter among the believers, and men shall arise within the church speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them.
Paul used to be a devout Jew by being the Pharisee of Pharisees before his extraordinary conversion to become a disciple of “The Way”, of preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul wrote or dictated the majority of the New Testament which centered on Jesus being the Son of God.
Thousands of ancient manuscripts exist of the Bible, much which have been substantiated by the Dead Sea Scrolls which were discovered by a sheep herder hidden in a cave beginning in 1947 on the shores of the Dead Sea. This tremendous find disclosed passages of the Bible that proved there have been no measureable deviations from many of the Bibles that are circulated today.
In general many of the Bibles published do an admirable job not to wander from the main wording, intent, and narrative of the 40 different authors that actually wrote the Holy Scriptures from their contemporaneous periods. One of the most magnificent masterpieces of Bible scripture is the King James Bible, a herculean effort by King James and some of the most brilliant scholars of their time.
There were other well received versions by others as the English Standard Bible, the Geneva Bible, and others which worked meticulously to produce bibles that would accurately convey the word of God.http://www.christianpost.com/news/top-10-bible-translations-in-the-united-states-92219/
However this was then and now is now. Some Bibles currently are popular but are not very good translations, the New International Version being the top popular translation however it poorly gives the word of God. All one has to do is compare the King James version to the New International Version in Daniel 3:25 to know how poor the NIV is:
Daniel 3:25King James Version (KJV)
25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Daniel 3:25New International Version (NIV)
25 He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”
Who ever validated the scripture for the NIV version went out of their way to basically deceive the reader.
There has been a plethora of versions of the Bible being presented as the word of God in recent years that no longer follow the impeccable standards previously revered by bible publishers or those commissioned to transcribe the words of old Bible manuscripts into new translations, and one can loosely use the term translation which many times are not translations at all.http://www.christianitytoday.com/gleanings/2014/march/most-popular-and-fastest-growing-bible-translation-niv-kjv.html?paging=off
Instead of producing actual translations, the Bible is now being perverted by commentary, outrageous omissions or additions of personal viewpoints, and a revamping of stories that fits the personal taste of the person reworking the wording.
Not only is the wording of the Bible being adjusted to fit one’s personal likes or dislikes, but heretical teaching as both Paul warned and the Bible warned is being incorporated into the operational doctrines of many “Christian” churches which could easily disqualify the church as being Christian. It would be more accurate to call the church contemporary instead of Christian.
Other books contradicting the Bible’s ultimate authority are being preached. Instruction that there are other ways to heaven besides Jesus Christ is another doctrine of demons.
The confession of sin is being touted as unnecessary since we all make mistakes and are all human. There is teaching denying the existence of hell and eternal punishment….a loving God just won’t do such a thing. Regarding purity and holiness there is a false teaching that injects fornication with condoms is fine since abstinence from sex when one is unmarried is old fashioned, unmarried people living together is acceptable, having an abortion is no big deal, and that divorce for any “irreconcilable differences” is completely satisfactory.http://www.catholic.com/tracts/the-great-heresies
Should one not like what the Bible states, you can have another Bible put together with your favorite sin validated or removed from the text. You can publish a Bible which is more feminine friendly and remove the masculine designations. As long as you ultimately feel good about yourself there is absolutely nothing off limits to what one can do.http://www.thepoorinspirit.com/post/101346208811/maybe-your-church-has-bad-theology-a-response-to
The Ten Commandments?……oh, don’t be so intolerant!!
The damnable heresies are clearly here.
