Fans of the super-sized Duggar family are looking forward to the new season when “19 Kids and Counting” returns to TLC in 2015. Although there was talk of cancellation, the staple series is indeed returning for a new season, as posted by Christian Today. The upcoming season promises to be bigger and better than ever, so here are five great reasons to tune and catch the latest happenings of the Duggars.
1. Jill Duggar
Last season, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard took center stage when they shared their wedding with more than 1,000 guests and a record-breaking TV audience. This time around, “19 Kids and Counting” will chronicle Jill’s pregnancy and possibly the birth of her first child. As posted by Fox News, Jill is working out to prepare for her delivery. She recently posted a make-up free photo on Instagram and revealed that she listens to sermons by Pastor Rick Warren while exercising. According to Us Magazine, Jill and Derick plan on having more children and would consider adoption. Her first-time pregnancy has not been easy. Jill has suffered from morning sickness, but maintains a good attitude. She and Derick have been filming while “19 Kids and Counting” has been on hiatus, so look for Jill and Derick to be featured a lot in 2015.
2. Jessa Duggar
Jessa Duggar’s engagement to Ben Seewald was a highlight during last season’s finale, so the new season will most certainly chronicle her wedding. On Jan. 11, People Magazine revealed new photos of their November wedding. In addition to the ceremony that included 1,000 guests, “19 Kids and Counting” will also highlight their lives as newlyweds. Could a new baby be on the horizon?
3. Anna Duggar
Jill isn’t the only Duggar with a baby on the way. Anna Duggar is currently pregnant with her fourth child. According to MStarz News on Jan. 12, Anna is also suffering through morning sickness. “19 Kids and Counting” will certainly follow her pregnancy, which is very different this time around. According to Josh, they are trying to figure out if Anna will deliver at home, in a hospital, or in a birthing center in Washington, DC. It will be the first time that Josh and Anna won’t have the close support of family.
4. Amy Duggar
Fun-loving Amy was featured a great deal last season as she pursued her dreams of becoming a country star in Nashville. The Duggar cousin is a bit of a wild card and doesn’t follow the same strict rules as the rest of the Duggars. Amy is currently dating Dillon King and sharing photos on Instagram. On Jan. 12, In Touch Weekly published new pictures, including one from New Year’s Eve. When “19 Kids and Counting” returns, the series will probably feature Amy even more – unless she lands her own show. There’s no denying that Amy Duggar breaks the mold and makes people laugh with her bubbly personality.
5. Jana and John-David Duggar
Twins Jana and John-David Duggar celebrated their 25th birthdays on Jan. 12. The two remain single, while their younger siblings Jill and Jessa enjoy married life. Jana is truly beautiful, so it’s only a matter of time before a lucky guy snatches her up. Last year, rumors ran rampant about a possible courtship with Tim Tebow, but Radar Online revealed that the two have never met. John-David is also single, but he might be hanging out with Tabitha Paine, a sister-in-law of Erin (Bates) Paine. Back in November, Michelle Duggar shot down rumors that John David was dating a mystery woman. She revealed that her son has never courted anyone, but she also said that Jim Bob Duggar “has tried multiple times to find someone for John.” When “19 Kids and Counting” returns in 2015, fans of these Duggar twins can expect to see more of Jana and John-David.
The new season of “19 Kids and Counting” premieres in 2015 on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
