Once again we enter the flu season, which with all the hysteria and marketing should probably be known as the vaccine season. There is less and less discussion about flu prevention and even the flu itself as the emphasis has turned to getting your vaccination, getting your flu shot.
This is the only medical procedure that is dispensed in more places and by more people than you can buy a case of beer from. It seems that almost anywhere you go they are willing and ready to give you the shot. You can get the flu shot at your work place, at pharmacies, at clinics, in every doctors office, even in the local malls and arenas, you can get a flu shot.
Many if not most Canadians will line up, roll up their sleeves and let some one jab a needle into their body and pump a substance that is far from completely safe into their body. Now many may take objection to my stating that the flu vaccine (and many other vaccines)are not completely safe, after all your doctor, Health Canada, the news reporter, the pharmacist, the health nurse and of course the drug company that produced the vaccine, all tell you that it is safe. Certainly with all these experts and concerned people telling you its safe, it must be completely safe?
It is not my intent with this article to try and persuade you from getting a flu shot. That should be your informed decision. But you should know the facts, and you should know that for a very very large number of people, (possibly you) the flu shot is at the very least unnecessary and at the worst a potential life threatening risk. So if I am right (and a large body of independent research says I am) the one question we must ask ourselves is, why are we being lied to, why are we being misinformed? The second thing you need to do is become informed about the risks of the flu vaccines. This is something that you will have to do on your own as the ones we have placed our trust so blindly in will not readily tell you. The third is to look at and understand your own current state of health as well as your health history.
Why the lies and misinformation?
This is an important question to be asking, but not an easy one to answer. Are all these people and organizations crooked, evil people? No of course they are not (not all of them). The truth as I have come to see it from the research by pharmaceutical company scientists and independent research is that, for a large number of people, there is little risk to taking the flu vaccine in the short term. Long term repeat flu vaccines are not as yet know if they may have accumulative effect on people taking them. The problem is that for some people the flu vaccine can have a negative impact on their health from minor allergic reactions to fatal reactions causing death.
So what is going on? Well for those interested in why not all the truth is being told to you, you should watch the following movie called BOUGHT. This movie is quite revealing in its study and research into vaccines and other medical practices. Before you turn your body and health decisions blindly over to anyone, you need to watch this movie and become informed, then you need to do a little bit of research into your own health.
How do we know that the medical system and government are not telling us the whole truth about vaccines? Well the government has recognized that there are sufficient numbers of people who have negative even life threatening reactions to drugs and vaccines. Yes this is recognized, you are just not told about it. The government in the USA, has set up a special compensation fund called the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program to pay out compensation to those who have a negative vaccine of drug reaction. In Canada, its tough luck to you, as the Ministry of Health in Canada will not pass such an act, there is no compensation. So unless you have a very strong understanding of hoe the flu vaccine may react with you and know your health, in Canada your risk is greater.
Become informed, know the truth
Before you allow anyone to inject your body with a foreign substance, ie the flu vaccine, you need to understand both the current and history of your personal and family health. The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) recommends that you ask your self the following eight questions
- Am I or my child sick right now?
- Have I or my child had a bad reaction to a vaccination before?
- Do I or my child have a personal or family history of vaccine reactions, neurological disorders, severe allergies or immune system problems?
- Do I know the disease and vaccine risks for myself or my child?
- Do I have full information about the vaccine’s side effects?
- Do I know how to identify and report a vaccine reaction?
- Do I know I need to keep a written record, including the vaccine manufacturer’s name and lot number, for all vaccinations?
- Do I know I have the right to make an informed choice?
Further information can be attained at the NVIC link above.
Be informed and know the risks, and then find out the alternatives and life choices that you can make to protect yourself from contracting the flu this season. Now if in the off chance you do contract the flu, you should know what to do to limit its take over of your body what to do to at the first signs that you may have contracted the flu.
