Shortly after Barack Hussein Obama was re-elected in 2012, this Examiner proffered that the US had once again abandoned time-honored American values. The thesis was put forth that Obama keeping office was largely due to his about-face on homosexual “marriage” which had become a championed “civil rights” issue and pet project under his regime.
It was also suggested that once the stalwart concept of marriage began to crumble – that definition being one man, one woman, zero exceptions – that other fringe groups, specifically, pedophiles to name one, would seize the opportunity to hop aboard the wave of success that same-sex pundits were enjoying .
Employing stratagems similar to those of LGBT type groups, sure enough, pedophilia “rights” are being insinuated upon the world and the ramped-up magniloquence, in partnership with soft-sell carpet bagging, is in full view for all to behold.
This is far removed from suggesting there was anything prophetic about the declarations made in this column back then, quite the contrary actually. It only stands to reason that when one moral compromise is made others must surely follow. As a society and more broadly a global culture, the first line drawn in the sand was crossed a very long time ago, and is now so far behind us, that even with our most advanced technology we cannot possibly see it any longer.
Enter the likes of Australian-born English citizen and LGBT social movement activist, former British Parliamentarian Peter Tatchell who believes:
…while it may be impossible to condone pedophilia, it is time society acknowledged the truth that not all sex involving children is unwanted, abusive and harmful.”
Continuing, Tatchell cites the example of a tribe in New Guinea where:
“…all young boys have sex with older warriors as part of their initiation into manhood and allegedly grow up to be happy, well-adjusted husbands and fathers.”
Tatchell concludes that:
“The positive nature of some child-adult sexual relationships is not confined to non-Western cultures. Several of my friends – gay and straight, male and female – had sex with adults from the ages of nine to 13. None feel they were abused. All say it was their conscious choice and gave them great joy.”
As one columnist puts it:
“Peter Tatchell doesn’t condone pedophilia; he just thinks that nine year olds can have consensual sex with adults.”
Can there be any doubt that this brand of philological gymnastics is anything short of redefining what constitutes pedophilia?! Tatchell and his compatriots have been rallying for changes in the law since the early ’80s and clearly intend to lower, if not completely abolish “age of consent” statutes. Not unlike the push for homosexual marriage, with all the attendant tactical euphemisms, pedophiles are eschewing the very term in favor of its new matrix, “intergenerational intimacy.”
These extremely malicious views are certainly nothing new, having been introduced and promulgated by Tatchell, in the British Parliament long ago. However, the sub-culture in question has been waiting in the wings for such a time as this when the climate has become more “tolerant” and moral norms are daily being tossed upon the burning pile.
Raised as a Christian, Tatchell says that he “ditched his faith a long time ago and is an atheist.” Not much of a surprise there. When objective values are set aside and the whims of the individual take precedence, the only god becomes “self.” And the mores of self, unlike those of the God of creation, are subject to whichever direction the wind is blowing at any given moment.
The Peter Tatchell Foundation webpage also posts articles with titles such as:
“Make gay sex education mandatory in all schools”
“Should the age of consent be reduced to 14?”
“EHRC: Gender segregation is discrimination”
“Same-sex marriage – This is how we won it”
“Legal equality is important, but not enough”
“My journey from Christianity to Humanism”
“Local churches should defy Anglican leaders over gay ban”
It would be amusing if it weren’t so tragic, but there remain those who insist there is “NO LGBT AGENDA” and that all homosexuals want are “equal rights.” The evidence simply does not support such claims.
