In the last episode, we meet a familiar face as the most infamous villain makes his first appearance on Gotham.
In this week’s show, titled “The Red Hood”, we get the start of the final 5 episodes of the season as a new enemy, The Red Mask, makes an appearance while Fish tries to figure out who and why is was kidnapped.
There is a group of burglars that rob the bank lead by a young man in a Red Hood.
The infamous Red Hood makes it’s first and probably not it’s last appearance in the show. The Red Hood gang has been linked to the Joker through the show which means that it’s something that he’s either a part of now or he will be a part of in the future. While it was assumed that Jerome from last week is the future Joker it is quite possible that was the show just teasing us and we haven’t met him until this episode. Time will only tell.
Gordon/Bullock are on the case to try and find the robbers and they get a lead that one of the robbers works at a mechanic show.
While dividing up the money, the robbers start arguing (surprising right) as they try and decide who is going to be the leader of the now infamous ‘Red Hood Gang’. With a new leader they continue robbing more banks using the same MO that they did in the first bank. Looks like he was on to something.
A witness comes forward and tells Bullock and Gordon about the Red Hood. But of course he won’t do it for free. But it works as they are able to get an ID of him. They decide to track him to the rest of the gang.
They weren’t quick enough as one of the other members shoots him but they find that are robbing the banks because they turned him down for loans and when the next hit is going to be. The GCPD are able to take them down before the robbery can take place. You can’t mess with the law.
Fish starts to see the world that she is in now as she tries to figure a way out. Things only get more complicated when she meets the man responsible, Dr. Dulmacher. The plan backfires on her as they try and take her but she proves once again that no one can take her. They want her eyes so she takes one out from them and steps on it so they can’t have it. Talk about not seeing eye to eye.
Meanwhile, a man named Reggie (David O’Hara, Luther) pays Alfred a visit and he helps Bruce train. Looks like Alfred has left an exciting life behind so that he can be the butler for the Wayne’s. Bruce gets to hear stories about Alfred and they connect on a whole new level.
Turns out that Reggie showed up because he’s in trouble and was looking to rob them. Reggie and Alfred don’t see eye to eye on his being there and he stabs him.
We find out at the end of the show Reggie was working with Wayne Enterprises getting information for them. Could he end up feeling guilty and help save Bruce? They did seem to form a small bond.
Oswald finds himself in trouble with his club as they ran out of alcohol but Maroni has a band so that no one will sell it to him. So he goes on a mission to find alcohol. Good luck with that. He is running his chances with Maroni.
Butch steps up and is able to help Oswald slowly gaining his trust. The question is, is he doing it because Zsasa told him to or because he is biding his time for Fish to return?
Barbara is still reeling from seeing Gordon kissing Thompkins and connects with Selina and Ivy as she mourns. She teaches Selina how she can use her physical looks to get what she wants but Selina doesn’t believe her.
In the next episode, we count down to the season finale with 4 episodes left. The enemies of Gotham begin to come out while Gordon tries to save Gotham.
