May 1st is the Pagan Spring Holiday of Beltaine. A time of creativity, growth, and fertility.
This week holds the May 3rd Full Moon after the Total Eclipse of the Moon, Full Moon on April 4th. This is where we are seeing the more intense change, development, and growth indicated by this spring’s eclipse season manifest. It does not appear as though this is going to be an easy ride, as demonstrated by the recent events in Chile and Nepal. I predicted the Chile event as geothermal activity along a line stretching from Chile to the Baha then curving up towards Hudson’s Bay. I expect that this will be getting much worse before it settles down, and be the trigger for other similar events and earthquakes over the next couple of months. These types of events may be seen as representative of the change and evolution of our planet.
The past eclipse season, also, indicates change and evolution in our individual lives, to be unfolding over the next couple of months. The Taurus to Scorpio Full Moon on Sunday aligns perpendicularly with Jupiter in Leo to make a planetary formation called a Tee-square, while Mercury in Gemini opposes Saturn in Sagittarius. This is a dramatic combination to be packed into one weekend. We are provided with an acute awareness of the patterns of thought and feeling that block our individual progress. Manifestations appear in life that are representations of beliefs and thoughts, which are us getting in our own way. When faced with pain, unpleasantness, or inconvenience, particularly, this weekend, do not struggle against the manifestation before you. Instead, ask yourself why you have brought this obstacle into your experience, and see it as a guidepost pointing to your own issue and, potentially, a way around it. The issues suggested are representations of our productivity and finances (Taurus), business, sexuality, investments, and personal power (Scorpio), and control, creativity, and confidence (Leo). The Full Moon illuminates tension between these three elements, which releases into the missing quadrant of Aquarius. In general this says do not blame friends, modern thinking, free expression, or human progress. There were no good old days. The last time there were good old days may be conjectured to be about 30,000 years ago. The good old days are here and now, and in the days to come. We are encouraged to be brave, independent, and free.
Mercury oppose Saturn provides an awareness of our own beliefs and the objectivity to manipulate them, rather than being manipulated by them. We may see our beliefs for what they are, which is, just repeated thoughts and opinions borne out of a particular perspective. It is beneficial to choose a perspective that supports contentment.
There exists a version of you; of your unique personality that is an expression of spiritual energy and is happy. Sometimes difficult experiences provide guidance for getting closer to this clearer expression of self. This becomes potentially apparent with the Sun in Taurus trine Pluto in Capricorn aspect on Wednesday. This aspect represent an expression of will and clarity. How-it-is aligns with why-it-is and many of us will be provided with a stronger sense of purpose and confidence.
So, this week we experience a shake up, an adjustment, and emerge stronger and more sure.
This Full Moon on May 3rd is the Wesak Moon. This is an important Buddhist holiday marking the birth, enlightenment, and death of The Buddha. Theosophy has added further significance to the Sun in Taurus opposite the Moon in Scorpio Full Moon. The few minutes around the exact moment of this Full Moon is said to be when the Buddhic and Christ energies combine to direct an annual infusion of spiritual energy and light into humanity and into our Mother Earth. This may be witnessed by anyone holding the intention to experience this event and sitting in meditation for 10 minutes. around 8:42 pm PDT
Do your homework and due diligence. Have a handle on your obligations, rules, and any legalities. You need to push past nay-sayers and stuck mindsets. You can bring positive change to associates. Foster communication and freedom in order to bring the best personal initiative out of people. By mid-week you emerge victorious from a professional or family conflict. What is good for individuals proves to be good for the bottom-line.
Others are looking to you to take control. Extend your perspective of your own career. The job path is one angle, but who else are you in your community, and in the world? You may be an involved parent, a helpful son or daughter, a friend to be trusted and relied upon. You have many social roles. Articulate your personal priorities and know what is important to you. This week is for doing something meaningful and fulfilling.
You and your world have conspired to set up the circumstances of work, health, productivity, and ethics for you. This week you let the story play out. There may not be that much you can do except live up to your promises and obligations, and observe. Be sure to ask questions if you are in an unfamiliar situation. Contribute who you are and what you know. If the road to the life of your dreams seems long, keep positive. Shortcuts to solid chunks of it are in the stars this year. By mid-week you feel more secure and confident in your own resourcefulness.
Others are looking to you for leadership. Carry on with the path of productivity that you have established over the past months. Disregard criticism, even when it is from a supposed authority. The proof is in the results and you are getting results. By the end of this week you are feeling the appreciation of your associates for the clarity and resolve that you demonstrate in your dealing with others.
This weekend the Full Moon is highlighting your family and home life. You are coming into a new awareness of what you want and need as a secure base of operations. Reassess what you want to do for fun. Your personal tastes are maturing. Do not fall into old habits or peer pressure. You are leading by example. With a strong expression of who you are and a strong demonstration of your sense of responsibility, you recreate your closest relationships, and how you come across to others in general.
Grab on to the ideas that you have about how to diversify your career this weekend. The Full Moon on Sunday sees you reassessing your beliefs and creating new patterns of thinking. Make yourself keep positive. Recognize that it is only yourself and your own emotional reactions that you can control. Feeling better about everything starts with a list about what you can do for yourself. This is the ultimate Virgo response to challenges, “ What can I do to improve myself?” The week brings self-assuredness and a commitment to the dreams you hold dear.
This weekend your ideas about your personal beliefs solidify into a more articulate expression. This may be a good time to communicate with contacts that are elsewhere. The Full Moon on Sunday shines a light on your productivity. Make hay while the Sun (and Moon) shines. You are better able to set priorities about where to put your creative energy to your best advantage. By the close of this week you are feeling empowered and stable.
This weekend begins with some business ideas and an analysis about whether you are getting what you want and need. The Full Moon Sunday dominates the weekend, and it shines a spotlight on you. Work things out with a partner. Communicate your desires. Get a big perspective upon your career and your social role. As you decide what is important to you, what has lost meaning will fall away. An important person supplies the leverage you need to create desired changes.
Do not hold yourself away from a significant conversation this weekend. Partnership and relationship issues can be settled to mutual benefit. The Full Moon on Sunday brings a busy weekend that seems a little out of control. Focus upon your work obligations and looking after your personal health and well-being. Contrary behaviours in others appear in order to get you to be more firm and succinct in your own position. Through the workweek clarity comes to your translating work into financial productivity.
Avoid anxiety with good health practices, this weekend. This is not the time to be overly familiar with someone in authority over you. An unpleasant wall will go up. The Full Moon on Sunday brings a powerful impetus to put your creative energy forward and have a social impact. Hopefully you can afford the expenses involved. By the close of this week you know with clarity what you want to do creatively and for recreation.
Dealings with friends and associates have you reconsidering your involvement with them. The Full Moon has you reflecting upon your career. Big questions are upon you. Expand your perspective of what you are doing in the world. Career is not just about your job. It is about all you are and do in the big wide world. You have a job and also a social role as a friend, parent, and son/daughter. This week your role in your family can change. Look clearly at your priorities and put your time and energy into what is important.
Take a practical look at your career this weekend. Communicate with family to gain an enhanced perspective. Make some plans to connect with loved ones, because that is what is important. The Full Moon illuminates your dreams, goals, and beliefs. Adjust your thinking to the recognition that you can accomplish whatever you set your intention to. Take on all opportunities and figure out the hows and whens later. You may even have to delegate.
