Jax Taylor is tired of being labeled the bad guy. The “Vanderpump Rules” star says he’ll take credit for being a villain on the hit Bravo reality show, but he emphasizes that he’s not the only one on the cast with villainous qualities. On Friday, Entertainment Weekly posted an interview with the 35-year-old reality star, who said viewers are in for a shocker on the next few episodes of the show.
“A lot of things are going to come out that people are going to very shocked about,” Taylor revealed. “I’m really tired of being called a liar and a cheater. I don’t mind being called the villain, because everything I do on the show is me, but there are other villains on the show who I start to call out. It’s going to get really dirty.”
With a slew of love triangles and drunken bar fights already been showcased on the show, it’s anyone’s guess as to who the other “villains” are. But Taylor says the upcoming Season 3 episodes will get back to a lot of arguing and fighting, and that’s when it will all come out.
The SUR bartender, who’s often the center of the most controversial “Vanderpump Rules” storylines, also shoots down rumors that the show is scripted, but admits he sometimes wishes it was. “I would say that it’s almost 100 percent true,” Taylor said of the show’s authenticity. “The only thing [the producers] do is to put me in certain situations I would not normally be in… I really wish it was scripted sometimes, because it would really make my life easier.”
In addition to working the bar at SUR, Taylor recently launched his own shoe and sweater line, and he actually credits his ex-girlfriend, Stassi Schroeder, for inspiring him — although he does so in a backhanded way. “If I could thank anyone for putting a fire under my butt to get things done, I know that this is going to sound weird, but I would say Stassi,” he said. “I have no ill will towards her, but when someone tells you that you can’t do something and then you go do it, it feels pretty great.”
Earlier this month, Taylor told Entertainment Tonight that while he has “no animosity or any hate” towards his ex, he doesn’t think she’s happy in her new relationship with radio host Patrick Meagher. “I don’t think she’s happy,” he said, “I think she’s really confused. I think she’s in a relationship that’s toxic right now.” Taylor also went on to say that he doesn’t think Schroeder knows “who she is anymore.” “I hope she figures it out soon because she’s doing a lot of damage,” he added.
Jax Taylor has already been the focus of some of the biggest storylines on the current season of “Vanderpump Rules,” including several scenes that centered on a love triangle he was involved in and an episode that featured his deviated septum surgery. “Vanderpump Rules” airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
