About Camille’s Bi-Curious Birthday:
Camille is turning the big three-O in just a few hours, and her three best friends ask her what she wants for her birthday. They are utterly shocked when Camille answers, “A threesome,” because as far as they’ve always known Camille was a square, a nerd, a geek and a goody-two-shoes all roll into one, little uptight petite package. Will Camille get her birthday wish? (read more)
Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write Camille’s Bi-Curious Birthday?
Quigley Castle: The inspiration came from a thought I had when I was watching “Orange is the New Black” on Netflix. I thought to myself, “What would a lesbian experience be like for me?” I’m positive that I’m heterosexual, but it was fun to think about what it would be like to be with a woman. Camille’s Bi-Curious Birthday is my idea of what it would be like to have a lesbian experience with my closest girlfriends. (read more)
JP: What sets Camille’s Bi-Curious Birthday apart from other books in the same genre?
QC: Camille’s Bi-Curious Birthday is different, I’d say, because I wrote it with the idea that erotica doesn’t have to be trashy or even overly inundated (redundant, I know) with sex scene after sex scene. I explore what my main character is thinking about her experience with her best friends more than I focus on detailing every, single erotic act. (read more)
JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that lead to Camille’s Bi-Curious Birthday getting out to the public?
QC: I live and die by Evernote and having it on every device from which I can write! LOL! It’s on my phone, my iPad, my Android tablet, my Mac mini and laptop and desktop PCs, so that I can write at the drop of a hat, and I do write at the drop of a hat. (read more)
JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish Camille’s Bi-Curious Birthday?
QC: I get an idea in my head, and I write the summary first. Then I come up with a title. Then I start building around the summary until I’ve expanded the summary into the full story. (read more)
JP: What’s next for Quigley Castle?
QC: Well, it just so happens that Camille’s Bi-Curious Birthday ended with the perfect segue into its sequel, so the next title in the Camille series is Camille Strikes It Rico. I’m excited about starting it, and I hope that people will like the first and second book, because I think there will be a third book after the second one. (read more)
