Kate will be “heavily pregnant” come February and March and although her bout with serious morning sickness is long gone, she’s still under the care of a doctor who wants her to stay behind when William takes off for China and Japan. This trip will make modern history as it is the first time a member of the British Royal Family has visited China in 30 years.
While East Asia is out for Kate this time around, the trip to NYC is a little more than a week away and Kate will accompany William to the Big Apple, according to People Magazine on Nov. 28. She has a full dance card while in the city that never sleeps, which includes dining with some very rich Americans who shelled out $100,000 for that dinner honor, according to the Mail Online.
William’s trip to China and Japan is extremely important to many in the world as part of this trip he will spend advocating on behalf of combating the illegal wildlife trade. This is something very personal to William whose campaign includes aiming to curb the consumer demand for ivory and rhino horn products. This is considered the first step in stopping the slaughter of animals for their ivory.
As the My Daily reports today, Kate will be eight months pregnant when William takes this trip, which will mark the first trip to China for a member of the royal family in 30 years. Both Kate and William were invited, as this couple seems to signify the British ringing in a totally new and more relaxed generation of the royal family.
William will carry out a number of scheduled appearances in Tokyo before heading for China. This trip will include other business engagements for William, such as working on trade relations between the U.K. and China when it comes to commerce and cultural exchange. The highlight of his business for many will be William’s own personal interest in the illegal wildlife trade.
Another grand event that William will attend and actually open is the Great Festival of Creativity at Shanghai’s Long Museum. This festival will give over 500 of the most innovative businesses in the U.K. a venue to demonstrate their creativity. This will hopefully give these businesses the opportunity to entice potential Chinese partners.
The NYC trip comes first as Kate and William are expected to touch down on Dec. 7. Kate will remain in NYC, but William is planning a solo trip to Washington DC while the royal couple are in the states together.
