C’mon Baby, Light My Fire
On Saturday, May 2 from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Cromwell Valley Park is offering the C’mon Baby, Light My Fire, a program suitable for ages 7 and older at the Willow Grove Nature Education Center.
The cost is $2.00 for members and $4.00 for non-members. Pre-registration is required as walk-ins are not allowed. Click here for a registration form.
Learn how to make your own “fire starters” from household items to make the perfect campfire. Experiment with everything from wax paper to dryer lint. Afterwards, enjoy a special dessert cooked over the campfire.

There are many family activities suited to children and their families available at Cromwell Valley Park, many of them are interactive or hands-on. Some activities include hiking, camping, gardening, and crafts.
Adults and seniors can join the fun through seminars, classes, sales, and other events.
The park is open from sunrise to sunset 7 days per week, 365 days of the year. Admission to Cromwell Valley Park is free to the public, although some programs require a registration fee.

Willow Grove Nature Education Center
The Willow Grove Nature Education Center is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. most weekdays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. It is closed Sundays. Hours are dependent on outdoor programs and available staff, so call ahead to see if they are open.
According to the Cromwell Valley Park, the Willow Grove Nature Education Center “offers plenty of opportunities for visitors to learn about nature, farming, local history, and conservation awareness.”
Also, visit the reptiles, amphibians, and mammals native to Maryland.
