We love this last quote, as it is really so, so true. When we are young we are so amazed at the smallest things. As a child we quickly got over a situation that angered or upset us. We didn’t hold on to it. Our child’s mind was free to express and create.
Enter adulthood. Society sinks its teeth in and our freedom to express ourselves is stifled. Don’t allow this to happen to you. Your inner child is there, and if you haven’t already discovered the fun loving, free spirit within yourself, well, start searching. When you are in touch with your inner child you shine, and your soul is nourished; however, if you lose touch with it you are at great risk to wither away in spirit.
Keeping a healthy balance is so important for your own well-being. The stress we make upon keeping in touch with your inner child should never be underestimated. We all grow up physically and mentally; however, the child we are inside should never be lost, never to be found.
We all grow up and have grown up responsibilities. Having a family to take care of, shelter, food, transportation, and lest not forget all of the insurance, are big responsibilities. Yes, responsibilities are there and we need to take care of them. In spite of all of the responsibilities you shouldn’t lose your inner shine…who you are.
When you go to work, see your job for what it is. It is a means to make the cash to take care of your responsibilities. It is not your life. Money is necessary for making your life comfortable, which is obvious. Keep in mind, your employer uses you to make them money. You should use your employer to make your money. You get to work, do what is expected of you, and try to have fun doing it. That’s it, only a way to bring in a paycheck, to make your life comfortable.
Some people like big toys, like hot rods, big trucks, motorcycles, etc. Make sure you make the money to afford your playthings. If you make the purchase before it’s affordable within your budget, it makes it hard to enjoy and can quickly become an added stress.
So, go to work with a smile, take care of your responsibilities, then be the big kid that you are! Whether it be jumping in a full pile of leaves in the fall, Frisbee with your friends, or enjoying what you always have since you were young. You know what we mean. Music, art, running, singing, etc. It is necessary to do what makes us happy, feeds our inner child.
Hold your problems at a distance, so that you can see them for what they actually are. Keep a healthy balance for a healthy you. Enjoy your life my friends!
