Monday, November 17, 2014: This week you’re more serious than usual. You realize that getting what you want will take longer than you thought… but you’re ready to push ahead anyway. So focus on what’s most important and set a realistic course to achieve long term objectives.
Welcome any sense of poverty (lack or want) you might be feeling… that feeling is what drives you to begin thinking about how you can fulfill that need. Don’t get depressed or down on yourself and don’t get passive in your attitude. Use the power and inventiveness of your intellect and find a way to work it out. Take notes and plan for a better future. Keep in mind that the more you expand your horizons the greater your incentive will be to find new solutions to old problems.
As for today, the Moon is Void-of-course in Virgo (6:11 am – 2:30 pm EST) and as she entered this reflective time she asked you to contemplate that if you keep your nose to the grindstone, little by little you’ll get the results you want.
Mid-afternoon ushers in an awareness of and concern for your relationship with others. Honor the serious flavor of the week by being a responsible friend. Don’t be a sour puss or take yourself too seriously. Although trivialities may highlight your interactions with others, showing a bit of enthusiasm will brighten everyone’s day.
A Crow, half-dead with thirst, came upon a Pitcher which had once been full of water; but when the Crow put its beak into the mouth of the Pitcher he found that only very little water was left in it, and that he could not reach far enough down to get at it. He tried, and he tried, but at last had to give up in despair. Then a thought came to him, and he took a pebble and dropped it into the Pitcher. Then he took another pebble and dropped it into the Pitcher. Then he took another pebble and dropped that into the Pitcher. Then he took another pebble and dropped that into the Pitcher. Then he took another pebble and dropped that into the Pitcher. Then he took another pebble and dropped that into the Pitcher. At last, at last, he saw the water mount up near him, and after casting in a few more pebbles he was able to quench his thirst and save his life.
