The Livermore Valley Winegrowers Foundation and the Wente Foundation for Arts Education are hosting the annual Livermore Valley Wine Auction on May 9 at The Barrel Room at Wente Vineyards at 5565 Tesla Road in Livermore. Since the annual auction began in 1995, it has raised over $3.6 million for worthwhile local organizations to improve the quality of life for underserved local children.
The auction is a spectacular evening offering insider’s access to the cool Barrel Room and warm hospitality of Wente Vineyards. You will enjoy a wine tasting of local wines paired with delicious appetizers, hosted by local winemakers, while you browse dozens of exclusive silent auction lots. Then as you join with your friends for a wonderful dinner you will be able to participate in the exciting live auction featuring packages not available elsewhere, ranging from wines to vacations to private dinners. Following the live auction you can take in an evening of exciting live music performed by an acclaimed artist. Tickets are $275 per person or $2,500 per table of 10 and include wine, dinner, live music and the auction.
Beneficiaries for this year’s auction are the George Mark Children’s House, Las Positas College Foundations 2Gen Fund, Bankhead Theater and Shakespeare Associates. The George Mark Children’s Home serves families with children and young adults who have a serious medical illness and who are seeking family-centered medical care. The Las Positas College Foundation’s 2Gen Fund provides scholarships for the toddler and pre-school children of deserving Las Positas College students to ensure the LPC college student can complete the courses necessary for university transfer or an associate degree. Bankhead Theater makes world-class arts and entertainment accessible to the youth of Tri-Valley. Shakespeare Associates provides high-quality theater arts education in K-12 schools in the Tri-Valley.
