As the tag line for Red Lobster Lobsterfest says, “Stop dreaming because it’s back” featuring a large selection of lobster dishes with new entrees added to the menu and introduction of a new specialty cocktail.
Hard to believe, but Red Lobster, a seafood and casual dining restaurant opened its first location in Florida in 1968. Today, there are over Today, there are over 700 Red Lobster locations in the United States and Canada with three restaurants in Las Vegas.
A classic that has returned is the Lobster Lover’s Dream, offering a full plate of lobsters including succulent rock lobster tail, sweet split Maine lobster tail, lobster-and-shrimp linguini Alfredo and the vegetable of the day. Another classic is The Ultimate Feast including Maine lobster tail, steamed North American snow crab legs, garlic shrimp scampi and Walt’s Favorite Shrimp. Seaport Lobster & Shrimp combines the love of lobster and the love of shrimp with a wood-grilled split Maine lobster tail, savory garlic shrimp scampi and a skewer of garlic-grilled shrimp. Rock Island Stuffed Tilapia with crab-and-seafood stuffing and topped with Maine lobster meat in a creamy lobster butter sauce is another choice.
New entrees have been added for the total lobster experience. Dueling Lobster Tails, a Maine lobster tail stuffed with crab and seafood along with a Maine lobster tail topped with creamy roasted-garlic shrimp battle for domination of taste buds.
Wood-Grilled Lobster, Shrimp & Salmon is served with Maine lobster tail, jumbo shrimp skewer and fresh Atlantic salmon, wood-grilled and finished with brown butter showcasing seafood at its finest. Lobster Scampi Linguini is made with succulent Maine lobster meat over a bed of linguini in a white wine and garlic scampi sauce. Ultimate Surf & Turf is a Maine lobster tail baked with crab-and-seafood stuffing, paired with a peppercorn-seasoned grilled sirloin topped with Maine lobster meat in a citrus-hollandaise sauce. Roasted Maine Lobster Bake are split petite tossed in a white wine and garlic butter sauce, roasted with corn and baby gold potatoes.
Along with lobster choices, Red Lobster offers a full bar with specialty cocktails. During Lobsterfest is the debut of Lobster Punch; Malibu Red, pineapple juice and mango passion fruit mix, topped with Myers’s Dark Rum served in a commemorative Red Lobster mason jar available for purchase.
Don’t forget dessert including a very decadent Warm Apple Crostada, a different take on traditional apple pie, made with Chudleigh Farms heirloom apples, drizzled with caramel and served with vanilla ice cream. Other sweet endings include strawberry cheesecake, carrot cake and key lime pie.
