The month of May will bring action back to the tracks of Western New York and southern Ontario, and these area race tracks are busy adding sponsors and series to their schedules.
Holland Motorsports Complex has added Seneca Resorts and Casinos to its list of marketing partners, as the Late Model series will now be known as the Seneca Niagara Casino NASCAR Late Models. The grandstands in Turns One and Two will become the Seneca Resorts and Casino Tower, and Seneca Players Club members will receive free admission to any regular event on the schedule this year.
Holland’s opening date is scheduled for May 23rd.
Lancaster National Speedway and Dragway has also added a number of marketing partners for the 2015 season, including Uncle Bob’s Self Storage, which will sponsor the Quick 16 class during the Franco’s Pizza Friday Night IHRA Drag Racing program. The track has also added Sunoco Race Fuels as the official fuel provider and as a track presenting sponsor, and Upstate Automotive Group will provide the track’s pace car. Additional partners include 10-75 Emergency Lighting, LLC, SoundOff Signal, Wendy’s of Buffalo, McGard LLC, Lehigh Construction Group, RJ Pro Fab and MacKenzie’s Automotive and Performance Center.
Lancaster Dragway is scheduled to open on May 8th and 9th, while the Speedway opens one week later on May 16th.
Ransomville Speedway is also welcoming back marketing partners for the 2015 season, including Viola Cummings and Lindsay LLC, Stevenson Hardware, Midnight Run Wine Cellars and Niagara Lawn and Garden Equipment.
Ransomville opens its season this Friday, May 1st.
New Humberstone Speedway in Port Colborne, Ontario, will open the track to Ohsweken Speedway’s 16-valve Mini Stocks for the first three weeks of the season. Following the three-week “audition,” Humberstone member drivers of the existing Cosco Haulage Mini Stock program will vote whether or not to continue to allow the 16-valve Mini Stocks to continue to compete.
“We are hoping to expand our Mini Stock division and are scheduling these test races as a test to see how the two rule packages will compete with one another,” says Director of Race Night Operations Clinton Geoffrey. “We are hoping that the drivers will vote to allow this package for the remainder of the season and that should lead to increased car counts and a better show for our fans.”
New Humberstone Speedway is scheduled to open May 3rd.
