There are new types of pet I.D. tags coming out all the time. Some of them take advantage of new technology, like GPS tracking and QR codes. Whether your pet has a traditional I.D. tag, a microchip, or a tech savvy tag with a GPS tracker or QR code, don’t just assume when you get it that the information on it is correct. Always check whenever you purchase new I.D. by proofreading tags, scanning codes or going to the website where you can enter your microchip number and make sure that everything is as it should be. A missing number or incorrect information can be the difference between your pet getting home safely or never being returned to you.
Please view this week’s photo gallery of lost pets in Ohio hoping to be reunited with their families. All of the pets who appear in this week’s column are missing. To view pets that have been found in Ohio, please visit Lost & Found Ohio Pets on Facebook.
The pets shown in today’s list are from areas in northern Ohio (north of Columbus). Please share with your friends so their photos and information are seen by as many people as possible. Remember, every person who sees their listings increases a pet’s chances of getting home.
