Mark Berndt was a teacher who made cookies for his students, but they certainly weren’t the good kind. The case of the former third-grade teacher who was charged with forcing his students — only young kids — to eat cookies made from his own semen came to a chilling close this week. The Source News confirms this Tuesday, December, 2, 2014, that a $140 million settlement ruling is in store for all the victims involved at the school that were abused by this man.
Talk about a terrible instructor — a Mark Berndt teacher cookies story has returned to the spotlight this week with a massive money settlement being given to the abused students. Berndt was accused years ago for blindfolding a number of the third grade kids in his class, then telling them they needed to eat cookies he had baked — using his own semen as a prime ingredient, a “layer” on top. Over $140 million is now being given to the victims and their families who got caught up in this disgusting, despicable crime.
Now 63 years old, Berndt was a teacher for over three decades in the Unified School District of Los Angeles, California. At long last, the man was revealed as the monster he was in 2012. A clerk at a local pharmacy had allegedly seen the man’s photos he was carrying with them. One of the explicit images showcased children that had been bound up and had their eyes blindfolded — many of the kids were said to look like they were even in bondage.
A thorough investigation was launched into the school crime, says Gawker News this week, and it was revealed that he had done horrible things to children with his semen at the ready. Aparently, after examining Mark Berndt’s home, police authorities discovered hundreds of gruesome photos. Many involved little kids, some of whom were his own students, who had been eating semen delivered to them by mouth through a spoon, injected cookies, and even having bugs crawl over them while they were bound.
The school is apparently to blame for quite a bit too in this “Mark Berndt teacher cookies” case, adds the press release. A number of lawyers for over 81 victims of child age said that the school district had failed to take proper action against the man despite repeated complaints about his “odd behavior” toward young students for many years. There were even accusations that he had masturbated in clear view of his students several years prior, but nothing was done at the time. The $140 million ruling in favor of the victims is believed to be long overdue. Berndt is presently facing 25 years behind bars, but because he was not fired immediately following his arrest, he may in fact apply for pension upon his release. Says one harrowing report:
“There were so many things along the way that were signs,” [plaintiffs’ lawyer John] Manly said, which had photographs a parent brought to the LA school principal in 2008 of a child eating a cookie covered in white slime. “This is wrong, do something about it or I’m going to call the police,” the parent attested. Manly revealed, “The principal said, ‘Don’t call the police.'”
