All five matches at FPL 3 will be conducted under what Flo Premier League refers to as “Tirapelle Rules” which are a hybrid of freestyle and folkstyle wrestling rules and scoring. In addition, the original press release announcing the launch of FLP stated that wrestlers would wear fight shorts, with shirts optional, instead of singlets. These rules and uniforms were on display at the first Flo Premier League event last month which saw former Lehigh NCAA finalist Robert Hamlin defeat Chris Perry, a two-time NCAA champ for Oklahoma State, and are expected to be in place at today’s FPL 2 event in Troy, N.Y., featuring Ed Ruth vs. Keith Gavin, and Gray Maynard taking on Dennis Bermudez.
