Manhattan Organization of the Buildings Services Industry, “MOBSI” launches its first networking event since forming, as well as announcing its newly installed Board of Directors;
- Jason Panarella – Founder, CEO
- Russell Jermyn- President
- Willy Gomez – Vice President
- Joseph Couteller – Secretary
- Douglas Insuaste – Treasurer
- Patrick McIntosh – Executive Board Member
- Ferris Sanders – Director of Operations
This organization was started by Jason Panarella, who has seen his career skyrocket since joining his father at age 13 and learning every job in running a building. He started at 161 6th Avenue, formally known as The Butterick Building, where he worked for 20 years and learned every position there. After going to various trade schools and earning over 100 certifications pertaining to the building services industry, he became superintendent of many different properties including rentals, cooperatives, commercial, and educational facilities.
He has been an instructor for The Thomas Shortman Training Fund, an SEIU 32BJ Union training school, and was involved in public speaking event seminars for NYARM, served as executive board member of The Superintendent Technical Association, and obtained AKAM Associates, Inc. 2013 “Resident Manager Of The Year” award. He also testified in City Council alongside former 32BJ President Michael Fishman, in support of former Mayor Bloomberg’s Green Building proposals.
As stated on their Twitter page, “MOBSI is here to help improve the buildings workforce by providing trainings, seminars, and opportunities to network to help individuals grow professionally.”
Mr. Panarella has concluded that MOBSI will be a driving force in the development of employees through their networking events, continuing education seminars, individualized support, resume writing/job placement assistance and local advocacy in making the local building industry stronger. For as little as an introductory annual membership fee of just $100 per year, you can enjoy the many benefits of becoming a MOBSI member, including discounted seminars and continuing education.

Never to forget the sponsors !
Sponsors of this event are:
Soni With An Eye
Soni With An Eye is a talented musician/artist/DJ. She has previously worked with well know recording artists such as Quest Love from the Roots, Timbaland, Cypress Hill, Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan and many, many more. Soni will be providing the music for the event. You can find more about her on their website at:
Amanda Pabon is a very talented stylist who will also be sponsoring the networking event. She performs a thorough study of her client’s facial structure and hair texture, and then designs a tailor-made cut and color guided by her belief that comfort is paramount. There is no “signature cut” ; instead she intuitively discovers the direction that she will bring each client. The goal is for everyone to feel comfortable and beautiful in their own skin. It’s an integrated process she calls, “Total Style Wellness.”
From a very young age, Amanda has been working on photo shoots for clients in both fashion and advertising. Her position at The Hair Club allowed her to gain experience working with hair loss and restoration as well as on clients with skin disorders such as alopecia, and even on people with cancer. Perhaps most impressively, she’s worked at such notable salons as Oscar Blandi and most recently at Sally Hershberger, who was a winner of the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Hairstyling.
Amanda is available for bookings on photo shoots, weddings and other events, as well as appointments for private hairstyling. Always interested in the latest trends and techniques, she’s never stopped honing and developing her craft and expanding her style vocabulary. You can also find out more about her talents at
My feeling is that Jason Panarella’s new organization will not only be a great boost to the local economy, but will also provide its members and member organizations with the tools necessary to succeed in the building services industry in Manhattan. As a local real estate agent, I find this to be a great resource for me while building my team of “due diligence professionals”. I urge everyone to check this organization out today ! See you at the event !!
