Many fans of the show “My Five Wives” already saw the sonogram of baby twenty five on Facebook. It wasn’t until the November 23 episode on TLC, Sunday night at 9 p.m. CT, that they got to see Nonie and Brady Williams announce to the family that baby twenty five was on the way.
Nonie, who is Brady’s 4th wife, has been trying to get pregnant for quite some time, without success. She was stressing about whether she was “too old” or that something was “broken” in her body. While the entire family was on vacation at Brady’s parents in Washington, Nonie decided to take a pregnancy test.
Brady was the first to know that the test “couldn’t be any more positive.” He seemed thrilled with the news that he was going to be a father again. When the couple sat down and told the other four wives about the expected baby, they too were thrilled and happy for Nonie.
Some of the children, on the other hand, were not overly impressed. Brady and Nonie chose to tell their five children first. Paul, age 15, immediately showed his displeasure and stated that he had asked his mother not to have more children.
He went on to say he couldn’t wait to turn eighteen and “get away.” He has no plans or interest in following his parent’s polygamist lifestyle or to have so many children. Nonie’s other children remained pretty quiet through the discussion and didn’t show any signs of being as happy as their parents.
When they announced the upcoming baby to the entire family, including Grandma and Grandpa, many of the kids cheered along with Grandpa. Karlie, who is Paulie and Brady’s oldest daughter, looked on in shock and surprise, stating, “Well crap!”
Karlie, who had recently gotten married to Jake, had just announced her own pregnancy several weeks ago. In fact, the women had just surprised her with a baby shower, organized by her Grandmother. She wasn’t sure how she felt about this new announcement:
“My baby is going to have an aunt or uncle that is younger than it is.”
The excitement of Brady becoming a grandpa just became overshadowed by the announcement that he was going to be a dad to baby number twenty five. Will this cause tension between his eldest daughter and his fourth wife as both pregnancies progress?
Can he juggle twenty five kids and a new grand baby fairly? Will Nonie’s other kids accept her pregnancy and a new baby? Tune in to TLC on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. CT to see how the ever growing family handles two new babies.
Find the Brady Williams family on Facebook and Twitter to check all baby updates too. The family also has a new website called Brady and Wives. As the show is filmed earlier, Karlie’s baby is already here and Nonie’s pregnancy is well into midterm, so you can check up on them at any of these sites.
