CLOUD 10 CREAMERY
Ice cream at Cloud 10 Creamery is more than one might expect.
Each scoop packs a wallop of flavor where Chef Chris Leung’s creations are at the whim of his imagination.
Their new location, opened in October 2014, in Rice Village at 5216 Morningside Drive is all about the experience.
His hand-crafted ice cream and sorbets, which are blended a half gallon each, are made with the freshest of ingredients with no artificial flavoring, no extracts and no additives. Visitors can see the kitchen where 10 pounds of marshmallows are made weekly as well as the wide assortment of toppings.
Leung, an award winning pastry chef, recently launched his fall/holiday flavors highlighting the best of the season including best sellers, Nutella with Marshmallows and their signature Banana Split.
Don’t be surprised with Leaung’s offerings which in the past have been everything from Buttermilk Chai to Banana with Coriander Caramel and even Prickly Pear with Balsamic Vinegar. His flavors have been available at local restaurants including Underbelly, Roost, Kata Robata, Sorrel, Max’s Wine Dive, The Hay Merchant and more throughout Houston.
Leung’s inspiration is about seeing the results of his efforts.
“It’s important to have your own style,” said Leung. “I try to keep a little twist on things every season. We have 10 new flavors and new novelties. Everything is made in house.”
And why the name, Cloud 10 Creamery??
“Because it’s better than Cloud 9!” Leung added.
