Spring cleaning is a harbinger of the “get it done” season—as much a part of the homeowner-chore lexicon as anything. There are hundreds of products vying for your attention. Some better than others. If you’ve been using Clorox in your wash, you probably wonder how people get their whites white again without it. I know I do.
Clorox has a huge campaign featuring “Sharknado 3’s” David Hasselhoff and there are a ton of pictures and videos. He’s probably a very good spokesperson.
Clorox, as a mega-giant, is always looking to update and create new products and there are a lot of new ones to try now. We received some cleaning products and we will give you our take on what we’ve got.
I like these a lot. Why? I am not a fan of having lots of dirty and semi-dirty sponges and rags sitting around. This product eliminates that hassle. It is a small scrub pad—and there are two types, kitchen and bathroom ones. They are an easy-to-use square, white on one side and blue on the other. You add a little water and begin the wipe down. So far it’s gotten everything I’ve touched really clean. You can re-wet and get a little more soap. One of these should clean up an entire kitchen after a multi-course dinner—from counters and appliances to those colored drips on the floor. Then, toss. I know I shouldn’t like these because I don’t know how eco-friendly they are, but it sure makes cleanup easier and with nothing hanging around to grow germs.
Clorox® Pump ‘N Clean™ for Kitchen and Bathroom
You open the container, hold your sponge over it and push. It dispenses the product onto your rag or paper towel. It sits on your counter and is really nice looking versus the bottle or spray—the liquid inside looks cool and beautiful. I like it because you don’t have to pick anything up—it is totally one-handed; no sprayer to handle, just push down. The chemical does not contain bleach and it says not to use it on raw meat cleanup (which would probably just contaminate other surfaces and the pump too). And there is a refill for this, so I like that too.
Clorox® Triple Action Dust Wipes
I just wiped my desk with one of these. They are small sheets in a box—I read a comment that they were too small, but you can get them in extra-large. The sheets are a thin, textured-like tacky material. A once-over will pick up hair (and they say it keeps down allergens). Now I would say, you won’t get a “polish” effect if you are doing furniture, because that requires some type of moisture and these are not that. But if you want to pick up a quick layer of dust and hair—these are adequate. It’s going to be hard to break the spray and wipe methodology—but like I said, for “quick” once-overs, these are fine.
