This coming week, Dec. 29 – Jan. 4 in Orlando local music is another full week of events. For music fans that don’t want to brave the plentiful New Year’s Eve celebrations, there are many more shows to choose from throughout the week enabling them to support local music.
There are a couple of fundraisers underway this week. Emily Gayle Bogenrief has a project on Go Fund Me to raise $600 and everyday i has a Kickstarter going to help them raise $3000 to record their debut EP with Brett Hestla.
The Orlando based band The Wilderness are having their EP release show at The BackBooth on Friday, Jan. 2. The official release date for their EP, “Natural Wonders” is Jan. 1 worldwide.
The Lanterns are marking their live debut and EP release with a show at Will’s Pub on Saturday. The Orlando based band will be joined by Bear in the Woods, The Deep Field Now and Traverser for this special show.
Monday, December 29

Tuesday, December 30
The Red Lion Pub – 3784 Howell Branch Road – Twisted Tuesday with Bengali 600 for this 18+ show. This FREE event includes live music and other entertainment as well as a home-cooked meal, with a $2 donation to the Red Lion Community Emergency Fund. The live music starts at 7:30 p.m.
Will’s Pub – 1042 N. Mills Ave. – The Quarterly with Jake Head featuring Saskatchewan, Ryan O’Toole, Sean Hyatt, Alex Luchun and Tom Feeney for this 18+ show. Tickets are $6 and the doors open at 9 p.m.
Wednesday, December 31 – New Year’s Eve
The Haven – 6700 Aloma Ave. – Maniacal Mojo Records presents Rocking In 2015 featuring live music by Born From Ashes, Auditory Armory, Sunshine & Bullets, Summer Day Rescue and The Glorious Rebellion. There will be food, party favors and a midnight champagne toast. The doors open at 8 p.m., tickets are $10 and parking is always FREE. This is a smoke-free event.
Will’s Pub – 1042 N. Mills Ave. – Live music by The Delusionaires, The Woolly Bushmen and The Golden Pelicans for this show. The doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets are $10-$50. There will be a FREE toast at midnight.
Orlando Brewing – 1301 Atlanta Ave. – New Year’s Eve and Babes’ Brew Release Party featuring live music by SugarFree Music and Milka. The doors open at 9 p.m. for this FREE show.

The museum is celebrating their nintieth anniversary with their first ever New Year’s Eve party with red carpet entry, hors d’oeuvres, drinks and a champagne toast at midnight and a fireworks display. The galleries will be open for viewing. This event starts at 10 p.m. Entry is $150 per couple at the door.
