Movieguide® has revealed on January 31 nominees for its Faith & Freedom Movie and TV Awards. Knowing that Americans care about faith and freedom, the 23rd Annual Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards will celebrate American values Friday, February 6, at its annual awards gala, to be held at the Universal Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
Eleven movies and television programs have been nominated for the Faith & Freedom Awards. These are given to the best, most inspiring movie and television program of the past year that have promoted American, western values. These include: freedom of speech, religious freedom, property rights, the right to life, the rule of law, and personal responsibility.

2014 Movie Nominees include the following: “Belle,”Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Dawn of the Apes,” “The Giver,” “Penguins of Madagascar,” and “Selma.”
2014 Television Nominees include: “Coffee Shop,” “The Gabby Douglas Story,” “The Last Ship/Phase Six,” “Love Finds You in Sugarcreek, ” “When Calls the Heart/Lost and Found.”
Other awards to be presented Friday include the $100,000 Epiphany Prizes for Inspiring Movies & TV, the $50,000 Kairos Prizes for Spiritually Uplifting Screenplays by First-Time and Beginning Screenwriters, the $50,000 Chronos Prize for Most Inspiring Screenplay by Established Filmmakers, the $50,000 Friess Free Enterprise Prize, the Best 2014 Movie for Families, the Best 2013 Movie for Mature Audiences, and the Grace Awards for Inspiring Performances in Movies & TV.

Further, in exclusive interviews with Movieguide associates and further communication, it has been revealed that the 2015 Movieguide awards gala will include a live tribute to Andre Crouch, seven-time Grammy winner who was supposed to perform at the gala but died January at 72. The tribute will be performed by legendary singers.
Each year, the Annual Report shows that moviegoers prefer family-friendly movies with positive American, conservative content and values.
