Every day there are thousands of homeless pets in shelters in metro Atlanta who all have the same wish – a forever home. They are dreaming of waking up in a home where they are loved and cherished and are a member of the family.
In December 2014 Furkids, an animal rescue group in in metro Atlanta, rolled out a new adoption/fundraising campaign called “Operation: HOME.” Donors can sponsor a cat at the gold or silver level. Gold level sponsored cats have had their entire adoption fee paid and can be adopted for no fee. Silver level sponsored cats have had $50 of their adoption fee paid and can adopted at a reduced fee ($35 for cats over six months of age and $75 for kittens under six months of age). The sponsorship will stay with the cat until they are adopted – no time limit.
I will be featuring Furkids cats and kittens who are sponsored under the “Operation: HOME” program. These adorable furkids want nothing more than their very own human and a warm place to sleep at night.
Today’s featured cat is Beanie Baby – an 11 month old female calico kitty. Beanie Baby has been sponsored at the “SILVER” level so her adoption fee is $75. Here is more about Beanie Baby from the Furkids Facebook page:
I was rescued from the great outdoors along with a group of kittens who were all out and about with the two mama kitties that produced us. I am a lively, curious, and playful kitten. I will ask to be picked up and petted and I enjoy being held. I have a very loud purr and you will hear it often. I am gentle, but I also play hard. My other pastimes are looking out windows, peering under furniture, climbing into boxes, and running up cat trees and ramps.
I am a beautiful calico girl with green eyes and tuxedo-like markings on my face . I am very close with my calico sister Carina, but I also like to hang out with my tortie sister Ginger Spice. We can frequently be found curled up together. I am sweet and loving. My foster mom said I am an intelligent kitty with a lovely personality. I’ll fit into just about any home with ease. Apply to meet me today. And for more love and joy, consider adopting one or two of my siblings.
