Washington, D.C. (February 17, 2015) – Restaurateur Reese Gardner’s newest restaurant in the District, Orange Anchor, will launch weekend brunch service beginning Saturday, February 21st. Located within the Washington Harbour, at 3050 K Street, NW, 20007, brunch will be served Saturday and Sunday, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Corporate Executive Chef Allan Javery is creating a menu that features seasonal American cuisine with most of the ingredients sourced from local farmers and waters within a three-hour drive from DC. Guests at Orange Anchor can enjoy everything from soups and salads, to not so classic Eggs Benedict and oysters served four different ways.
Standout brunch include Champagne Oysters; Duck Hash, duck leg confit with potatoes, onions, bell pepper and two poached eggs; Buckwheat Banana Beer Pancakes with fresh bananas, toasted walnuts, orange honey and butter; Shrimp & Smoked Gouda Grits with Tasso ham and a spicy Cajun gravy; Blue Crab Benedict with Old Bay hollandaise; Seafood Red Chili with rockfish, shrimp and clams; Crab BALT, pan seared crab cakes with bacon, avocado, Bibb lettuce and fresh tomato, as well as the Anchor Dog, quarter-pound bacon wrapped Smith Meadow’s all beef hot dog topped with crab salad and crispy shallots. Brunch items range from $8 to $18.
For the perfect pairing, Orange Anchor offers a selection of handcrafted cocktails created by Corporate Beverage Program Director Boris Stojkovic and Bar Manager Phil Clark. Highlights include the Seafood Bloody Mary, Old Bay vodka, tomato juice, Old Bay, smoked paprika, Ancho chili water, lime juice, shrimp and smoked oysters; Kale Mary, vodka, kale, celery, ginger and lime juice; Anchor Bloody Mary, Old Bay vodka and a house-made mix of horseradish, lime juice, orange juice, Worcestershire and black pepper; Orange Crush, Stoli Orange, Cointreau, Aperol and orange juice, as well as classics like the Bellini and Mimosa. Cocktails are priced from $9 to $12.
