Pacquiao/Mayweather at Twin Peaks and Hooters Restaurants

by zoom dune

This Saturday night, May 2, 2015, televised LIVE via SHOWTIME and HBO PPV, there is no more talk, there should be no more guessing ‘Who’s the best’, as Manny ‘Pac Man’ Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KO’s) takes on the undefeated Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather (47-0, 26 KO’s) for the mythical ‘P4P’ (Pound-For-Pound) title as well as the WBC and WBO World welterweight and WBA Super World welterweight titles at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Presented by Mayweather Promotions (Floyd Mayweather) and Top Rank Promotions (Bob Arum) the highly anticipated matchup between the two biggest stars in boxing has generated more interest than any other sporting event in history, potentially earning in excess of $300 million dollars.

The 5’6” and 36 years-old Manny Pacquiao is the smaller man as the 5’8” and 38 years-old Floyd Mayweather enjoys a 2 inches in height as well as a 5 inches in reach advantage that makes this an intriguing matchup where you can expect a chess game with Mayweather looking to keep the hard charging Pacquiao at arm’s length throughout this scheduled for 12 rounds bout.

Opinions range from this fight being a Marvin Hagler/Thomas Hearns epic battle that began with the opening bell and ended with a Hagler KO or this going 12 rounds with neither man able to impose his will and it going to the scorecards.

If you have not made an concrete plans as of yet, for a $20 cover charge you can make your way to any one of 3 Twin Peaks Restaurants locations, 8840 E. Arapahoe Road (303-779-8946) in Centennial, 299 E. Flatiron Crossing Drive (303-469-3825) in Broomfield or 14035 W. Colfax (303-278-1170) in Golden.

Not to be outdone, HOOTERS Restaurants offers the fight for a $20 cover charge at either of their 2 locations, 695 Kipling (303-205-1170) in Lakewood or 1111 W. 120th Ave. (303-991-4668) in Westminster.

You’ll have to get there early since there are no reservations, entry at HOOTERS or Twin Peaks on a ‘First Come First Serve’ basis.

You may want to call the location closest to you for more specific information.

My fight prediction: Floyd Mayweather will suffer his first defeat at the hands of Manny Pacquiao by way of a close split decision win, with a rematch scheduled by years’ end.

The tenacity and relentless attack of Manny Pacquiao will not only surprise but overwhelm Mayweather and with one judge seeing the fight with Mayweather being the victor, more controversy will arise.

Sunday morning, May 3, 2015, will have nothing resolved in the minds of many UNLESS the fight is just that, A FIGHT, where in that case Manny Pacquiao will stop Floyd Mayweather inside of 6 rounds.

The fight action via SHOWTIME and HBO PPV begins at 7PM MST with an undercard featuring 6 uninteresting bouts.
